Jeff Keith is a good man..I met him at a bar in Sacramento back in about 85 when they were getting big all over the place..I worked at the big Mercedes dealership in town and they were opening up for Def Leppard at the cow palace that week.. he left me 2 tickets at will call for me and my friend. Great show and never forgot how humble and down to earth he is
Underatted to what pop culture or rock n roll hall of fame everything isn't about being famous or popular that's what society has brainwashed people into thinking
Just turned 54 and I also saw them open up for Def Leppard - Great show and greta times - gonna take my 15 year son to see Stryper in San Diego this coming June at the house of blues - keeping rock alive 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽
My all time favorite song from this band...brings back great memories....i even won a talent show doing this song in high school..lol ...damn I this song❤❤❤❤
This song got me thru a heartbreak in the 90's. Will ALWAYS BE MY FAV! Esp since they start it up the original way and big like the radio version that cuts out that guitar solo at beginning. Ps...that same heartbreak later gave me my baby girl in 1998❤️ so of course it holds a special place for me
Thanks for sharing this @WildCamaroSS! Tesla was a huge part of my life in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Frankie Hannon still has never gotten his due as a guitar player and Tommy Skeogh for that matter too. This looks like an amazing performance
I am a huge fan of these type of bands from the 80's and have to admit I underrated Frankie Hannon for many years. Maybe because Tesla has always had 2 guitar players it kind of got lost on me how good he was but the more I watch and listen to Tesla he deserves to be up there with the great guitar players form that era. He has great riffs cool solos and he is an excellent backing vocalist.
Ohhh, yeah, one of my favorite bands from the 80s Tesla!!! I still rock to Tesla, especially this song, right here. They still sound AMAZING!!! Today's music doesn't have NOTHING compared to back in the day.
I've seen them 5 times and I will always have their music deep with in my heart. Jeff's voice is just not the same like he sounds like it's painful I'm not the voice expert but it did not sound like that over the years. I noticed it was changing 2 years ago in ST.LOUIS
You have to cut him some slack he's getting older and has an insanely difficult job singing songs that really 99% of the population could never sing! Just be happy he's still out there giving his all!
@@Ibaneddie76 Oh....it's not that. I am sorry if it came across that way. I respect your opinion. I just was thinking his voice could be more healthy sounding. Not in any way to negate the spirit in wanting to play music and perform for as long as he wants to.
I remember when this song first came out. Some girl dedicated it to me. The guitar melody on this song is so well done. Tesla is a well oiled machine. At least this band keeps it real unlike some fake bands like motley.
Back when we had talented musicians and artists...wrote their own songs and played actual instruments as masters of their craft !! Today , we have almost ZERO musicians and artists that can write and play their OWN material...sure...many of them are very successful ENTERTAINERS MASQUERADING as more...BUT THEY ARE NOT true musicians and artists...AND NEVER WILL BE on the level of a band like Tesla !!
Yooooooo... That's so wrong. And I laughed my ass off. Such a good song and man this dude had a killer voice. Eh. Such is life, we all get older. If we're lucky.
I've seen Tesla many times live but I don't remember his voice sounding like this live but it has been awhile since I saw them live. I'll always love Tesla but he sounds like he's harmed his vocal cords but maybe it's just the recording. Can't wait to see them live soon.
I love TESLA. Great band. My favorite CD by them is five man acoustical jam. I wonder when he goes to order food, weather be be drive through, or in person, is that the voice that the person taking the order hears???? Just wondering..Please let me know in the comments.
Tesla was one of my favorite bands back in the day! Band sounds great! I mean no disrespect, but, I think Jeff would sound better if he just sang it straight forward, without trying to get the rasp in there - OR the sound man needs to compensate with the mix of his vocals - by adding maybe some mids or lows - not so much of the high as it makes his voice sound very tint-y. Or maybe some reverb? He sounded great when just singing straight forward - then when he went for the rasp it sounded very strained. If they are able to compensate in the mix, it also would be less strain on him. And if you read this, per chance - I seriously mean no disrespect! Another thing that may help is having a hot toddy before hand - to relax the vocal chords and coat them as well for some protection. When my vocals became strained from performing - I would mix a shot of brandy in 3/4 filled cup of hot water and added 1-2 teaspoons of honey and squeezed in a slice of lemon. Very medicinal tasting, but worked wonders!
No disrespect meant but seriously wondering why Jeff Keith goes into the high Eric Cartman falsetto voice when his regular voice sounds great? Thanks for posting. Examples at the beginning... "The end" and "if you need a friend" lyrics.
Don't forget Brian Wheat. I don't know how they made it. Jeff Keith has one of the most unpleasant singing voices in rock history. He makes Axl Rose sound like Steve Perry.
My { me(@ME Time) time} efforts should not be so much on the computer. But, doing what I love as a guitarist during spare time. And, some day I'll pick me up a double-neck guitar. First things 1st, back to basics; this song is hard to play, even with instructions!!! The Great Radio Controversy.
Seen these guys in Concert Several Times!! Excellent Group!! Had a Crush on Jeff Keith 4 So Long!! He is So Special!!
Nothing compares to 80s music! If I could only go back!!❤
all the bands from the80’s and 90’s start touring , after lotta people realized the garbage music we hearing today
👍👍The 80' and early 90's was the best era of music these guys still sound damned good for their age..
No doubt ❤

One of the best live bands ever. They made great records and still kill it live to this day.
They're right up there with meshuggah as couple of my favorite bands
Not even kidding haha
I saw these guys in 1989. One of the best shows I've been to. WOW I'm old.
That's cool though. My first show was Nirvana and I'm also getting old. Even babies are getting old tho

one of the best ballads ever, bring back 80s stuff
Bring the whole decade back.
Bring it back ❤❤❤
This came out when I was a freshman in high school I'm 52 and still sing it word for word everytime it's played ....fan for life ..
Pretty much the only band from this era that I still like to listen to regularly as a 44 year-old guitar teacher and musician
I love Tesla but man, Jeff's voice makes MY throat hurt! Kudos to him for sticking it out

Von Housen ?
Amazing musicians and so underated. Tesla is an amazing band! ❤
Why are they underrated what are you talking about
@sean cowhie a lot of people have no idea that there is a band called TESLA, and haven't heard their music.
@@seancowhie6951 every band is underrated on YT. Not sure if it sounds cool, or if it's a new word people learned, but it's way overused.

STILL got it. All these 'reunion bands' could learn a thing of 1000 from Tesla. STILL sound as good as the 80's. Hell yea! \m/
Love song is Tesla's Stairway to heaven...❤❤❤❤❤
My Favorite Band. Planning on seeing them again at Summer Fest this year
An pasado muchos años .décadas y recuerdo mi juventud con estas baladas rockeras pero jamás pasarán y dejaremos de escucharlas ..grandiosa love song
I want to hear Jeff scream RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!
I hate dissing him, but that is funny.
Tesla rawks. Would be epic to have Tommy come in for a few tunes. 🤘🏻
Wow! Must have been 18,19 years old. Life was starting! Now I'm 52... Kinda sad now. Miss you good years.
I hear u black label. Same here!!!
I hear that. The nostalgia sure hits hard watching bands from years past. It’s a shame Jeff sounds so awful though
I'm right with ya man.
Maybe the best opening acoustic riff in all music. Screw critics...The fans decide who rules and Tesla rules !

I just watched Tesla’s whole 2008 Minnesota show, which sounded fantastic, and literally 15 years later these guys sound as spot-on as ever. Amazing.
Brings back great memories. Always love singing along with Tesla, for sure..
The great one song that I ever know
Jeff Keith' voice had exploded ,it sounds already like a Robot ,He didn't care His voice ..
One of the best bands and great guitarist Frankie Hannon 👍🏼
