Does FlightGear only accept .ac files? From what I've read, FlightGear supposedly is able to take in several different model files. If not, do you know about any free programs that can convert models to .ac? I greatly appreciate your videos, they've been a great help for me.
No problem Sori, You can use AC3D, there should be a free version. My version of FlightGear only accepts AC files, however the newer versions may accept other file formats such as VRML. If not, I believe Blender also converts files into .ac
I am using this template but it gives an error "invalid string position", I commented lines in order to just read the .ac file and .xml files but still same issue. Do you any root cause? I am using flight gear version 2020.3.18 which is latest stable version

I solved this problem by exporting to .stl, after that I opened it in blender and exported to .ac. You need to install addon for blender to export to .ac

Ac3d said "Importing VRML1 file FAILED" when I tried to open a vrml model. What can I do to solve this problem?
I solved this problem by exporting to .stl, after that I opened it in blender and exported to .ac. You need to install addon for blender to export to .ac
