    Maybe the passengers were late or not, but Just a little act of kindness, compassion and humanity from the ground staff, specially from that attitude lady wouldn't have created this scene.. Unnecessarily the situation has gotten worse.. That lady will definitely get a hard curse from the patients and families.. What goes around comes around..

    People here are posting half baked comments. Be patient and watch the entire video before commenting.
    First of all, the timing of Itanagar-Delhi flight from Hollongi is changing like they are changing clothes.
    Secondly,
    They were there 55 minutes before the take off. Check in counter closes 50 mins prior and the boarding gates close 25 minutes prior to departure.
    This is not a big airport, just one small hall of everything. From baggage to check in to boarding. It hardly takes 10-15 minutes for the entire process. I am a frequent flyer from this airport.
    They could’ve squeezed in seeing the case of the patient.
    Please note that the ground staff asked for all the documents and checked it again and again which wasted the time.
    I don’t know who the patient is but still they could’ve considered her. They were there at 11:30 sharp, actually had 5 minutes to check in.
    The Flight was scheduled for 12:25pm but actually took off 5 minutes late around 12:30 as per Flightradar24 so they had an entire hour.

The patient was even given permission to enter the departure premises. The issue arose when the uncle and brother were stopped at the check-in gate. The ground staff wasted 45 minutes, which led them to miss their flight. 😢
    Imagine how inhumane the ground staff could be towards someone like that. I just had a thought: if they had arrived late, they shouldn't have even let the patient in, but simply refused them at the gate itself. But no, they were allowed in.
    So, if you talk about the fault, it lies with the ground staff who unknowingly said that their documents were not right. However, when the family member went and inquired at the official counter, the representative said their documents were all okay.
    So, in all this chaos, when they came back to enter the departure premises, they missed their flight ✈️"

    Letting passengers check-in or not for 20 mins late is totally a considerations based on various circumstances like boarding gates still opened or not, security checking still going on or not, aircraft still on apron or not. Gathering this informations and to consider the case is 100℅ upto the ground staffs.
    Now, seeing this case and considering the facts that the passenger is critically ill was not allowed to check in while her little sister(co-passenger) was already inside the airport and DPA, itanagar being Unbusiest airport in the country, this could have been avoided.
    When we talk of rules, medical emergencies even on air are turned back to airport for medical assistance. Medical emergency are always exceptional. Hence, the ground staffs of Indigo airlines is wrong here.
    I can say, if the patient was relative of the ground staffs they would have let him in.

    To people who are commenting that the service is not similar to that of a sumo or APST bus, take some sense of that patient being your own relative. Would you still act as an extremist and not let the situation get compromised that your relative is on the verge of life or death??
    1. Medical cases are deliberate and needs to be treated as such. Procedures take time. That's a living body. Not some packages that you can load and fataak sei ponchadega. Also, some adverse circumstances leading to 10 mins delay needs to be taken on consent.
    2. The issue could be solved at the ground staff level, and not the correction of any policies from higher authorities. Taking some considerations on a humanitarian basis should have been the approach of the ground staff. As the welfare of the passengers well being is the cornerstone foundation of all airports. Instead of arguing with the passengers, that staff girl could have solved the solution for good.
    3. It will some take time for many of our local people to get accustomed with the airlines policies and norms. Donyi Polo Airport is relatively new for our local people and in situations like these where the life of a passenger is on the line, things can easily be compromised at the ground staff level.
    Spreading awareness is good, but at what cost? Even for one's life. People need to know when to be an extremist and when to be a humanitarian. If all the policies and rules are to be adhered at that sense and be a total extremist, then many of the homes in itanagar would not stand and get demolished as major portions of the land under residencies are in the forest reservation area.

    According to IndiGo's policy, if a passenger is late by even a few minutes for check-in, they are likely to be denied boarding as they require passengers to check-in at least 60 minutes prior to the flight departure, meaning a 3-minute late check-in would not be allowed and they would not be able to board the flight; essentially, they would not be allowed to enter the aircraft.

    They brought the patient 20 mins late to the airport without any prior intimation ? If anything happens to the patient the first person to be blamed is their own family members.
    I understand this is about life and death situation but some tribal people thinks every body is just born to support and serve them, such a shallow ego doesn't work everywhere with everyone .
    They should have brought the patient way ahead of time or must have made special requests to the airport staff. Simply blaming others and crying won't fix problems.

    And family wala bhi irresponsible hai. Medical patient ko time mai leke aana hai. Usually 2 hrs prior aane ke liye boltai.

    Islye airport nahi ban raha tha itanagar mea😂. Please local log apna responsibility lena sikho aur thora discipline hojao bechara patient ko kitna taklif hora hoga lekin at the same time airline ka bhi protocol hote gate bandh karna parte taki field mea sirf staff kaam kar sake flight take off prepare kare. Ek flight board karne ka kitna sara process hote ek passenger ne miss kardiya koi stage tou uske liye pura process wapas karna mushkil hai. Thora sa ajib bhi lagre ki late aane wala lecture dere.

    There is a rule to maintain time in aircraft....i know there have been exception regarding serious cases like medical emergency..... I know im not right to the point but there should be a law regarding serious cases...kisi higherup ka family honesae gusnae danae tha hoga.....

    Ye incident ko sunke bohut dukh hua ,airport ka authority emergency medical ground ko consider karna ta jyada check nakar ke medical documents ko dekh kar allow karna ta. Koi drugs lekar nehi gaya yani ki ek cancer patient ta timely pohuchna hospital mei.

      @@kenzomete3239 Aeroplane ka engine check ka delay ,air traffic congestion ka delay or any other technical delay vs. customer ka personal negligence ka delay is not the same , you cannot compare apples with oranges .
      Blaming others for following their duty rules while you ruining something which was very much under your own control with simple proactive planning like reaching 1 to 2 hours early is not comparable. we should focus more on things which is in our own control because that is easier to correct and fix .
      If i was responsible for smoothly displacing a patient i would rather bet on something which is under my own control and plan really well than to expect some one else to understand my negligence or mistake.

    I am totally disagree with your statement, if passengers reported airport at 90mins before no one should Stop him or her/ and if passengers are travelling with medical patient they should come be early at Least 1hr before from the check in counters, and rule for all the people.🎉❤ Try to understand our peoples of arunachal rule is for everyone.

    Rules are there for a reason, and they must be followed; this isn’t like a bus that can be stopped out of goodwill. Even the skies have traffic, and everything is synchronized to ensure safety and efficiency. I remember missing a flight from Delhi to Guwahati once, but later I understood that these strict timelines are put in place for our own safety.
    In Arunachal, such situations might seem manageable, and one might feel they can negotiate with the staff. However, if something like this were to happen in Delhi, u would probably have ended up in police custody. It’s important to respect the system and understand that these protocols exist to protect everyone.

    Patient family is irresponsible ..

    If there were any room for accomodations, the ground crew staffs along with airport authorities and airline should have considered the exceptional medical cases. Which is just being humanely. having said that, the air traffic control systems at both airports must have been overwhelmed, eventhough our airport is small and lesser traffic.might be able to hold air traffic for much longer duration.. the open slot at arrival terminals could be limited. the plane has to land somewhere and take off again to give space to inbound flights...
    I am unable to understand why one hour check-in is not enough in this kind of emergency cases. it could happen to any of us. could it be due to medical consideration by airlines itself? could it be due to negligience by check in staff? what does the airline check in rule say.

    People in the comments saying late ayai kyu esa karrai.
    First of all listen carefully the situation was an emergency, a situation which cannot be resolved timely and can be done accordingly. What if the patient’s condition was not that good which made the time management difficult for them to arrive timely by panicking, rush etc. that could have been compromised by the staff’s considering it as an emergency. If the flight can be delayed for the high profile peoples that are fit and fine, why can’t they compensate for the person suffering for his or her life.

      @@NABAMTALAR001 Brother its an emergency case which is exactly why the family should have taken utmost care of every variable or contingency that could have arrived mid way , the comment section people including myself are not all siding with the airport authorities but are more of pointing the negligence and faults of the family member handling a patient who were suppose to be proactive for ever scenario but instead blaming others for their own blunders.
      They should have taken extra steps to ensure smooth journey like
      1) Leave really early for airport like 5 to 6 hours so that they reach 1 to 2 hours before the departure time.
      2) They could have made requests to the airport staff about the incoming patient and a possible delay.
      3) They could have booked a flight few days before the actual treatment schedule.
      4) They could have spoken to the doctors about the travel complexities of northeast airlines and opt for a flexible schedule on the off chance something goes wrong.
      They did not do any of these and are instead shouting and blaming at the staff who are just for following the rules they are meant to . How does it make sense to talk about whats right and whats wrong when you yourself has done such moronic blunder. This was clearly a planning failure from the family's part but unfortunately a patient life is on hold.

      @@poetictriangle1037 but in the news they stated that they reached the port 1 hour before where the flight was still on runaway, the crew could have taken a little step by letting the patient to get boarded rather than wasting time on patient’s documentation, even the patient’s family stated that they gave enough information about the patient’s condition that was enough to consider it as an emergency and i think the family members were requesting for a very long time before the heated conversation, they also said while they were requesting a police officer that helped them. By seeing all the scenario it clearly says that the staff could have handle the situation easily but they didn’t.

      First off, all of this have could been easily prevented if they simply reached on time or had followed the things suggested in my previous comment , the family members are the first people to understand the patient's condition so they should be the most serious out of all, nobody in the airport knows about the patient personally so why will they expect a patient or be extra serious ?
      The family members knowing everything very clearly they should be extra serious ,why didn't they take the necessary precautionary steps ? How can you simply dismiss your own fault that you commited first so easily ? what happened after is the direct result of their own negligence and the first reason why their flight got missed is because they themselves did not commit to their own parts properly.

      You tell me , which is a better strategy to deal with things ? Taking care of things you can control or something you cannot control ? Who will be at loss if you do not do things properly ?
      But its alright everyone makes mistakes and things go wrong sometimes but to blatantly blame others and suggesting ideals is not at all acceptable , why they covering up their own negligence in the name of emergency ?. and why are you supporting such behavior ?
      Airport staffs are just following the service protocol , they are bounded by the rules and guidelines of the duty, they will be held answerable and possibly penalized too if they violate some of it, who will take responsibility of that ?

    Lady officer ko terminate kro.. don't deserve for that job she can't handle the situation as per guidelines.. training me customer ko rudely se baat kro bolke sikaya ta kiya.?? If 5 to 10 min late hone se customer request krne se high authority ko baat krna woo lady duty banta hai. But pucha nahi.. khud hi solve krne se lag gya..as par my knowledge 1 hours ka under me entry ban hota hai.. flight agar 12:15pm me ta toh that meanings ki 11:15 am ko gate entry ban hgya ta and then ticket checking me..
    So 11:15 am gate entry band hone se toh patient family aya hai 11: 25 to 35 am toh atcha se situation ko Analysis krne se flight take off me 50 min bachta hai.. so us time me very very very easily patient family ko check in krne de skta ta. Higher authority ko baat krke.. 97% Indigo ground staff ka galti hai..
    3% patient family kiyu airport poncha toh hai magar gate close hone ka bad... But flight take off keliye 50 min baki ta... Jai shree ram
