I didn't realize how much better the original Morimoto tail lights were until I installed them on my 2008 base. I went with the red and standard illumination. Absolutely amazing! They are so much brighter plus they respond faster so you get cool looks with added safety from rear end collisions. I like the new reverse light illumination option in the Gen 2... hmmm. I might have to upgrade.
I had no idea what tail lights i want to put on my Daytona Orange Vette, honestly what felt the most difficult to me was deciding which look I wanted to achieve. Definitely going with the clear/smoke look, I love it.
I love that morimoto is making revisions to already existing lights but STILL haven’t given the 07-13 gmc sierra owners a nice headlight or tail light option. I’ve been harassing for years. Leaves me no choice but to make my own
Are yall going to be selling the gen 1 series still? I like the wider band for the light on the gen 1 version more. Cool idea incorporating the reverse lights on the gen 2, I just think aesthetics looks better on the last set.
@@HeadlightRevolution That's unfortunate. Pulled up your website to order today and, but when I went to order, I was shocked at the design change with Gen 2 red. I really dislike the look of the integrated reverse lights look. Guess I'll stick to stock.
The lenses aren't heavily smoked, more of a clear light smoke so you won't be losing a ton of light performance. The dark housing makes it appear darker, which is Morimoto's trick for most of their lights because performance is most important! Smoked is still compliant.
Yea one of my screws came out and taillight was hanging by the harness while I was driving to church one day.."infirai" makes a good led taillight with sequential amber or red options...they are sold by vette lights...check them out
@tiagodvt yes...they are very easy to steal...but, they will only fit c6 vettes...so whoever is going to steal them could only use them on a vette, or sell them to someone with a vette....blessings upon us all

These lights are sick!! Super bright a must upgrade.

Good choice!
Are you ever going to make them for the C-5 Corvette????
Smoked a set for my buddy about a month or so ago. They look great.

Morimoto has discontinued Gen 1, and Gen 2 is now the replacement.
@@HeadlightRevolutionhorrible.

@@Trump48257I feel the same. The car already has a huge dedicated reverse light. Stupid idea.
Hey 👋🏾 what about us C5 owners 🥺 we want those incredible lights for our Corvettes 🥰 too.
Maybe one day!
How much light does one lose with the smoked version, and are they still compliant when smoked?

What do they cost me buy for my vette smoke out
ok but wait , what exhaust was that sounded fucken amazing
I can’t find the color combo in the thumbnail. What is it?
It's the red version!
So are these light DOT approved? I can see them blinding everyone behind you when you are braking…
These are DOT, SAE, and ECE Compliant.
Are those light smoked ?
There is a red and smoked version available
Hell yeahhh
😭Nissan GTR XB headlights and taillights when?
We wish!!
to bad they don't make one like this for the cobalt coupes!!! lol fml
It's crazy how easy those are to remove (I mean both of them, not only yours). Clearly a design problem from Chevy. Should be bolted from the inside.

@@ktthomas7714 my biggest fear with these would be robbers. That's just to easy to remove and clearly a bad design from factory.
