@@matthewliu9127 different exam board!
Great and detailed explanation! Totally agree with the majority of it.
I think the goal of UBI is not to completely cover everything, as some people out there arguing against it seem to think, it's just an income floor. Enough assistance with basic survival costs, to keep people from falling into poverty or becoming homeless. Anything more than that, people will still need to find other sources of income. If they want to have much fun & leisure time, they'll want a job to earn more on top of the UBI. That's also why it doesn't encourage laziness, and because it doesn't go away when you earn more, no welfare trap! Those factors alone would greatly improve poverty statistics.. I wish more people saw that.
I also don't think it'll pose much inflation risk, beyond maybe a short-term readjustment period. We still have a free enough market for people to shop elsewhere if someone raises prices/rent. And personally I think UBI will drive such economic growth, that it'll essentially pay for itself. The extra money it provides most people, will enable them to take on new things they couldn't before, like getting more education, or turn a hobby into a small business. And for most people, it'll simply let them spend more in their local economy, hopefully revitalizing and enabling more small-businesses!
used this in my micro 25 marker yesterday in aqa context 2 about reducing in-work poverty thanks to you i hope i did you justice dal❤👊
What diagrams did u use
@@hmwh4t i didn’t do a diagram for this part but i also spoke about raising national minimum wage so drew a diagram for that. feel like i should’ve talked about another policy but couldn’t really think of one. did you do this question?
same lol
@@olivia.2762 If I remember rightly I only talked about means-tested and UBI
@@olivia.2762 nah I just picked the other question cause I had no idea what diagrams I could but I really wanted to talk about ubi, hopefully paper 2 has something about poverty so maybe I could use this

@@reaperules Quite decent, did the first question (apparently like the only one in our class that did the first one) TZ B. You?
What topics were on? Also what topics were on your paper 1? Thanks
Can this come up for the OCR exam board?
maybe
This will never come up as a question for any exam board. It’s just a concept you can add into answers
will you marry me?
I keep hearing "basic income" , but NO country in the world has truly implemented such a program. Why do we keep talking about it ?? It's a lost cause.
