The Zero Doubler betrayal is part of why I love Ares Cannon V2 so much; you don't have to play it to toggle your cannons, so it insulates you from the pain.
at 34:40 you could've flipped zircon zip with right click and used it to move left, I've noticed you don't flip cards that much! Glad you finally got into Books, she's my favourite!
I feel your pain with Zero Doubler. It's a genuinely strong artifact, but unless you're able to draw 0-cost cards every single turn, it's going to make Ares a pain. Or, in my case with Jupiter once, renders the Jupiter Drone upgrade artifact freaking useless cause it *destroys* the Juptier Drone you just sent out...! Course now that's been updated so that nonsense shouldn't happen anymore, but the pain is still there lol
You sounded a bit louder than normal, but still at a reasonable volume. I end up having to adjust the volume of videos often enough the difference could even just be on my end. The Gemini is probably my least favourite ship so far. Regardless of good it is, I think the Jupiter benefits from providing a very distinctive playstyle that sets it apart from the other ships. I haven't seen that sports event before; this game has some amazing, unexpected events.
I think you are focusing on Riggs being so strong that you aren't considering that others can do the job well enough to get the job done. At least to me it feels like almost any crew combo on the non-tutorial ship will work on hardest (including the Gemini), you just need to approach combats in different ways rather then just dodging through evade (though books can also fix that issue as seen). Its a very well built cast of card pools, they cover each other's weaknesses better than I expected. Thanks a ton for getting me into the game, its my game of the year, having a blast now that I can consistently beat hardest!
While I agree with all of this, I think it's pretty inarguable that Riggs and Dizzy are in a category of their own in terms of strength even if you're some super master with the others.
As someone who doesn't play rigs for the reason that she's too strong I find the upgrading your basic Dodge card the very first upgrade you get is a strong option if I can find other movement cards usually it's enough to get by.
Your inactive cannon is still armored with glass cannon. I think glass cannon make a pretty good energy relic comparatively for this game. With Ares especially, but with the zero doubler making it harder to switch your cannons I’m not sure if it was the correct pick.
About 15% louder than usual, okay. This is useful because I do not know what the heck happened to my OBS settings. I was fully peaking when I first started recording and noticed it, and I had changed literally nothing!

I did it a lot more later on. I think it's mostly because the icon to flip is so hidden on a card.

Can it actually be both weakened and armored? I assumed one would override the other because it makes sense, but that's good to know if not.

Wow I asked out loud whether toggle cannon counted as a 0 cost when you picked up zero doubler... Guess it was. I agree that should not happen!
You are louder then usual, I had to reduce volume by around 15%. Also attempt #3 of recommending Vault of the Void.
