I met Sheena at the Allentown Fairgrounds and the next performance at the Resorts Casino in Atlantic city. Had her autograph a Martin E28 Guitar that was eventually stolen with 17 more autographs on it.
She is one of my favorites of all time. Great voice and absolutely gorgeous I did get to meet her before a show, during the show I was sitting dead center in the front row and when she sang " For your eyes Only" she was looking directly at me. One of the highlights of my life , Some great moments like that you NEVER forget. '
But why don't we have singers that sing like this today? Today, they need autotune, vocoding, millions of dancers to distract from the fact they can't sing.
40 years later and this stands the test of time. She runs over, knocks out this song perfectly with her pure, beautiful voice and perfect diction - it’s much harder to sing than it looks - then runs back to Joan. And she looks fabulous.

No gimmicks,no backgrounds, Her talent and voice, front and center! begining and established singers take note! A true testimony of raw talent and charisma. This is a performance worth studying.

Prince was in the studio the night when she gave this performance. He watched her sing from the wings and decided that he was going to meet her and take her career to a whole new high. And boy did he ever! This is when she went from demure little Sheena to smokin’ hot Sheena. She was so friggin hot! She had the goods. She sang like an angel and she gave the best live performances. They don’t sing live like this anymore.
Yeah,I agree..she went from that petite little Irish girl..from Morning Train to sizzeling hot "Sugar Walls"..to she's got the look fame over night. Still..she had the raw material though...good looks..legs for days..great hair...she was just the right song bird for Prince to promote.
Look up several of Sheena's live performances in her prime and she was near perfect. With Autotune, so few singers today can perform their songs so close to their original recordings (Adele, comes to mind). This and Kenny Rodgers and her in "We've Got Tonight" are some of my favorites.
