Idk why this appeared in my recommendations after 2 years, but here's my thought: I think JK did it better, but we all know he wouldn't be able to do that without Rain, so much respect for that guy.

Rain on other hand, either didn't have an expression or smiled which takes away the intensity of the song. JK did amazing cover of Rainism nobody can deny that.
If I didn’t know who these 2 were I would’ve thought JK’s was the original version cuz he has better control of his movements...they’re sharper and more defined. And his charisma is incredible...his gaze into the camera and his smirk make his version super sexy.
JK's movements are sharp and clean while Rain looks like he's dying on stage, but JK also looked fucking ridiculous with that cane. It's like he's been forced to dance with it impromptu, and doesn't know what to do with it. Awful.

They have their own charms but I found JungKook's performance to have a lot of sex appeal to it, moreover, his moves were alot more controlled. Rain is no doubt good but its just my opinion.

And because of Rain, Kpop was able to go abroad further. He was selected Times100 for the first time as a Korean. If there was no Rain, your love BTS wouldn't be here now. He is still the legend. I think, the difference between the two is: 1. Aside that JK is so appealing while dancing; 2. JK has no shades so, the impression is GOOD; and, 3. Lastly, the camera shot that makes JK's hotness moves and expressions get it.

I am both of singer's korean fan. You are not korean. So you don't know 2008's rainism in Korea. It was very impactive. His wide shoulder(Rain's body is perfect. Nowadays, most of kpop idols are similarly thin and same singing method.), beautiful dance moving. Many singer tries to cover this song, but they are thinner than Rain. Wait, I do recall that in the original stick dance, Bi/Rain did do the whole lean-back part part tho. So this version makes me laugh. For real, Rainism... is one of those iconic songs. Not only for the dance, but it was so controversial since he was basically singing about all the things he could do with his 'magic stick' xD (they cut that verse in BTS's cover, the lyrics are still very... 'bad'). He was one of my fav kpop solo artists back then. So, seeing and hearing (omg, he made his voice so husky and deep... No one does it better than rain. Jungkook does it his own style. But still for me rain dances effortlessly and sexily of course its his own. Rain looks better on this performance becaude he is taller than jungkook not to mention his well toned body. Am an army too am this is just my honest opinion.

Wait, I do recall that in the original stick dance, Bi/Rain did do the whole lean-back part part tho. So this version makes me laugh. For real, Rainism... is one of those iconic songs. Not only for the dance, but it was so controversial since he was basically singing about all the things he could do with his 'magic stick' xD (they cut that verse in BTS's cover, the lyrics are still very... 'bad'). He was one of my fav kpop solo artists back then. So, seeing and hearing (omg, he made his voice so husky and deep... I need a full cover) Jungkook do this particular song made me feel so many things. Like...you don't even know.

Yes, in the past I feel like we could joke around with Jungkook being an 'International playboy' more freely (since he wasn't even legal yet, and visually became JungSHOOK whenever near a girl lol. Good old times). Now, it seems like he really wants to live up to that name. I noticed that ever since Fire he became more 'rude' during performances with his dancing, during BST promo's I barely survived those facial expressions+hip movements, and now they even dropped this on us... 원래 비가 솔로댄스가수만봐도 세계에서도 탑급댄스가수임. 솔로로 비교하면 할수있는가수가 대한민국이아니라 세계에서도 뽑기힘든데. 저걸 비교하는게 오바지. 원래 커버댄스곡들은 원조보다 잘할수가없음. 그게 실질적인 팩트고. 저정도면 잘소화한거지뭐. 그나마 BTS니까 선방한거지 다른그룹이면 답도없었다고본다 ㅋ

@@ffghjj833 이거 이해는 됨. 최근 케이팝 아이돌들 인기 요인 중 하나가 얇은 몸매에서 나오는 팔랑팔랑 가벼우면서도 챡챡 맞아 떨어져가는 칼군무의 정연함임.
그런데 비가 추는 춤은 우월한 피지컬을 바탕으로 한 묵-직한 중량감, 그 덩치에 안 어울리는 속도, 정확성, 선의 예술임. 저 피지컬의 희소성을 아는 우리 눈에야 당연히 우리 눈에야 비가 압도적으로 멋있어 보이지.
그런데 서양애들 눈에는 애기애기하면서 가벼운데 칼군무 딱딱 맞춰 들어가는 아이돌식 춤이 더 멋져 보일 수 밖에 없음. 왜냐하면 동양인을 피지컬 보고 좋아하진 않거든. 동양 특유의 가볍고 하이틴스러운 분위기로 생긴 인기인데 그와 상반되는 매력을 가진 비가 그쪽 사람들 눈에 멋져 보이기는 쉽지 않지.
전 정국 팬이지만 사실 원곡자를 커버한 사람이 원곡자의 실력을 뛰어넘는다는 것 자체가 불가능하다고 보는 사람이라.. 둘 다 진짜 멋있어요
