@@jessicalynnathome how were you able to keep them attached? Whenever I attach something to metal with hot glue they peel off. Side note my glue gun is a high/low model. Any suggestions dear?

I made the chicken 🐓 jars they are very cute.
They go great with my French-country farm house style.
I really like them they’re are so cute.
I had some jars from dollar tree
With groves going down the sides that looked vintage to begin with.
They looked great painted white.
After a couple coats of paint and some sanding they came out adorable.
I didn’t really like the polka dot chicken but I buy things as they come out because I know Jessica or some other crafters I follow will come out with something adorable
And sure enough that’s what happened.
I love seeing different crafts I have around my home.
Crafting is fun and good for your soul.
I also made the bunnies
The bunnies I painted are displayed on my bench aqua mint ballet slipper and one I left the burlap color.
They make me smile very cute.

FYI ...If you clean your items with cleaner or windex the paint will cover better on the first coat. A little trick I learned by trial and error. Love your creativity!!

I thought i was going to hate the chicken jars cause i don't love chickens in kitchens, but the chalk paint won me over! These are beautiful! and inspiring.

I have a white chicken and a black chicken
I never even 💭 thought to paint them white.
I have dark browns in my granite.
I have the same paint chalked that I used as a final coat on a furniture piece I’m repainting.
I have some pretty jars from dollar tree.
I’m going to make them tomorrow and I’m looking forward to it.

90% of the Dollar Tree Farmhouse DIY decor videos out there turn out looking like cheap dollar tree trinkets I wouldn't pay 50 cents for at a garage sale. But this stuff actually looks nice and more like what you find at Home Goods for $15-$20. Good job

Paint adheres to shiny surfaces better if you add a layer of mod podge before hand and let it completely dry. Also helps you save paint because you use less layers to cover.

I love the chicken jars! I painted my jars, chickens and I also painted the tops is the lids. Tomorrow I'll add some mod podge to seal them then add twine and glue to chicks. Tyfs!!!
