- Today we're going through the ultimate pizza burger recipe!! Who knew that these 2 super foods could be combined? I did you silly goose. And I'm sharing all the secrets so you can make the best pizza burger ever! Let's do this!!
Pizza Burger Recipe:
1lb Ground Beef
Italian Sausage (1/4 lb)
Mozzarella Cheese
Brioche Buns
Pepperoni
Parmesan Cheese
Pizza Sauce:
28 oz San Marzano Tomatoes
1 tbsp Olive Oil
3 Cloves Garlic
Red Crushed Pepper
Oregano
Salt & Pepper

You know, if you want to take acidity out of tomato sauce, all you have to do is bring your sauce up to a boil, or until bubbling, then take a pinch of “baking soda” and stir it in. You will then see a foam appear on top of your tomato sauce, keep stirring until the foaming subsides. Then, you will have sauce that will not aggravate heartburn or acid reflux, or give you gas. I’m 50 and have suffered from acid reflux disease and heartburn my whole life and this has made me enjoy “any kind of tomatoes” in a sauce, pizza or any other Italian dish with tomato sauce. You can also make meat, like ground beef or other, very tender using baking soda and water mix. Just spread your ground beef in very small pieces in a large rectangular pan or dish, mix 1/4 -1/3 teaspoon of baking soda, not powder, to about 3 tbsp of cold water, take a basting brush, I like the rubber one, then just sprinkle the mixture over your ground beef, cover, put in fridge for about 1/2 hour, take it out and fry in a pan or wok. Guaranteed, you will have ground beef for your penne regatta or other pasta dish, just perfect and tender, and without gas or that bloating feeling. When you fry the beef, I put mine on medium high, about 6 on my stove. At first, it doesn’t look like it’s cooking, just put you spatula under it and you will see that it is all brown underneath, then flip the rest, chop it up as you go and you will be asking for my autograph 😜

Even if I'm italian, and I'm very strict with our food, the idea of a pizza burger is not that bad. But the cheese you put on it is NOT mozzarella. The real mozzarella releases milk, when you cut it. And, to be honest, you americans broke the balls with this pepperoni... I would have put the sauce (passata) under the buns, as we usually do with ketchup and/or mayo, than put tomatoes, meat (I'm vegetarian LOL), REAL mozzarella, other tomatoes slices, and bun, with the sauce under.
