Just picked up a 2D after trying almost all other putters in the shop. With the all black look all you really see is the line and the ball. It frames the ball so nicely. I like an insert putter because I like a slightly softer feel and muted sound. It’s just a clean simple putter. I’m not a fan of busy looking putters. But this is the first plumbers neck putter I’ve used in a really long time. They even black out the tungsten weights. All you really pay attention to is the line and the ball. Really like the look and when I took it right out to the course, it proved very consistent.
Tried all these putters in my local range and they all feel premium. For me I like small mallet putters that match my arch stroke. Loved the Shea with the black shaft. The dull silver on black made it easy for me to align and the shallow milling felt great. The standard ping midsize grip felt very comfortable.
I've not tried these but the 2021 roll great and have a fantastic feel. You don't see the red at address and there's no feeling of cheapness when I bought mine. Personally I love my 2021 and the tech is great.
So i still use a heppler, this has a full steel face with a aluminium top part that contains weight for moi, this is a great putter everyone comment on looks, also use sigma 2 which is model before one with red at bottom, mine has blue, this is a dual pebax insert, soft at front for feel and harder the coloured bit u can see, this was done to show the technology in it, black front and harder part showing at bottom of putter, the looks in my opinion are great, all ping putters are worth looking at and testing
Being a lefty its hard to find any putters to try ... i need to figure out if im going to go anser 2d or pld anser d... i figure the 2d will feel similar to a white hot face... and pld close to a scotty... i like both those feelings haha..
Loving the videos.......Had the pleasure of a brief on course chat whilst at CPGC for the Leslie Wood Plate final. Top fella, good luck with the channel. P.s.......I love my Ping Kushin 2021 🙂
I agree regarding the old ping designs they were not great. With these ones I don't understand why they haven't gone full black, but perhaps that was too close to the PLD series. Talking about the Toulon Las Vegas, I also looked at that, but everywhere it says face balanced, whereas I need considerate toe hang. I see yours has a different neck so I assume its for a more arc type swing? I'm debating between the Toulon Las Vegas if I could get it with an arc neck, the Toulon Chicago, and these two Pings. Though I really wanted a milled face, so maybe the Anser or Kushin 4 over the Anser 2d.
Nice video. I am considering trying both of those putters this year. I think the anser 2d looks great. I am still rocking the sigma 2 tyne stealth from a few years back. For a weekend warrior I do okay with the tyne stealth but feel I could be dropping a few more putts on the course. Sometimes I think the ball comes off the sigma 2 tyne face too slow as I miss short rather than past the cup. How do you think these two new ones stack up against sigma 2 tyne or the odyssey tri hot 5 k double wide. Also your golf shoes are awesome. What kind are they?
Scotty's are great, especially the older models with GSS inserts, but theirs stuff out their just as good with same attention to detail, with good tech, at end of day cameron is a name, people get bogged down thinking their off the rack is a handmade by scotty, youve not got that kind of money, its not its a computer milled cameron design, your not tiger or spieth, we get a good copy reproduction of his tour stuff that made him famous
Have to agree they’re much better looking. Ping sometimes seem to alternate between classy looking stuff and garish stuff. I bought a Heppler model a few years back and they brought out that disgusting red plastic model the year after 🤮.
Just picked up the prime tyne 4, best putter I've ever used, perfectly weighted for me!
Solid bit of kit!

Ping putters are so pure
I have the Prime Tyne and absolutely love it. Great video
Awesome! Thank you!
Very clean video brudda, I love the early morning greens when you can see the roll of the ball and the path it took. Ancer is pure
You love the Anser

I don’t believe Tiger actually used a Ping Putter. It was / is a Scotty Cameron Newport with a Ping Grip (ping man logo blacked out).
Crondon? Thought you was over Braintree?
Long story. Be explained soon enough
what area is your accent from?
Scotty Cams are best on market
Disagree
Never enjoyed the feel off the face of a Scotty - very overrated in my opinion.

The red plastic was a fat L
