This song speaks to me. Sometimes you have family members who despite their best intentions, continually hold you back from being the person you are capable of. They don’t give you the opportunity to be yourself so you can never live your own life. To me, this song is a great euphemism for that even if that is not what the artist intended

i saw them at "the ritz" in raleigh and there was only about 200 people there...(it was right when there first song hit the radio.) BUT THEY WRE AWSOME and they played about 3 hours...gotta love musicians who love what they do and not just the money.

I've tried writing songs in the style of 3 Doors down. But the things Arnold feels when when he writes it (eg the pain in here without you) realy makes it a great song. And I havn't experienced that kind of pain till recently. My girlfriend broke up with me and it hurts like hell. Instead of drowning in my sorrows I wrote several songs. And looking back on them still hurts but it's some of the best I've ever wrote. 3DD aint just music, It's pure emotion
