As soon as you said “I save everything” I said “STOP!!” I battled with this for a long time and I would say this is a top reason why I kept having to revisit rooms over and over. I’m glad I moved in on from that. It was too exhausting.
Yes, I'm still trying to train my brain into saving only what I feel is actionable in the near future. It runs in my blood! I bought a bunch of fabric pouches and want to adhere the old handkerchiefs on to them as gifts, so that plan was already in the making. Thanks for sharing your experience!
@@Aim4aCreativeLife It’s definitely in my training as well. I am still very frugal and reuse a lot of stuff in unconventional ways so I think we are kindred spirits in many ways. I also wanted to know how you spell your name. It is, Amy?
Yes it is spelled like that! :) Not the fancy French looking ways like my friends' names! hah. I agree, I've been enjoying your channel and feeling the kindred-ness! Today though I've been in a cranky mommy mood and needed a good uplifting talking to like you always offer.
I'm super jealous of your laundry room.. We also have a closet in ours, but it currently hosts our water softener and our furnace. Other than that I can't really keep anything in that room. I do have 2 shelves above my washer and dryer but just the clutter of seeing everything does get to me.. I would like to install cabinets such as yours to hide all of our cleaning supplies haha
That is wonderful to have pretty much gotten it under control! With 10 kiddos you're rocking it! Good work! Oh and I wanted to reply further but forgot about your comment earlier, that in editing videos I see my patterns so much more clearly and in hearing myself, I can identify tricky keeper-type thoughts. I usually end up decluttering the things I thought I'd wait on. So I was able to part with all the stick cleaner tool thingies except the scrubber that I charged (and used in my shower...kinda fun!) and the broom!
Did you declutter your laundry room along with me? How'd it go?

Aw, you make me wanna take back my "don't have storage space" comment! Baskets on the shelf?
I don’t really need to declutter my laundry. I want to clean it and organise a bit better but it’s just on the list at the moment.
