Kraftwerk are recognised as one of the first pioneers in electronic music, and also one of the most influential bands of all time.
From Wikipedia:
"Kraftwerk are seen as "electro-pop" pioneers.
Kraftwerk's lyrics deal with post-war European urban life and technology-traveling by car on the Autobahn, traveling by train, using home computers, and the like. Usually, the lyrics are very minimal but reveal both an innocent celebration of, and a knowing caution about, the modern world, as well as playing an integral role in the rhythmic structure of the songs. Many of Kraftwerk's songs express the paradoxical nature of modern urban life-a strong sense of alienation existing side-by-side with a celebration of the joys of modern technology." - Видеоклипы
The beatles of the electronic music.
Yesterday Florian Schneider, founder Kraftwerk, has died. I like their music. In 1984 I bought this LP when I was doing a traineeship in Venezuela/Caracas.
I remember the day like it was yesterday. My brother came home from school (he was 18 and I was 15) having bought this album during his lunch break on the day it came out. He then proceeded to have a heated discussion with our dad in the kitchen so I took it to our bedroom and listened alone. I was mesmerised, it was like hearing a prophecy from God. Every time I hear that opening bass line I think back to watching the hypnotic vinyl spinning for the very first time.
We saw them on the tour, probably the most awe inspiring concert I've seen ... I still have the ticket stubs.
Your brother ran interference, appreciate that
The Gods of electronic music ...
I love kraftwerk one of the best remembering that times who is dj greetings
This music is 1981 years...word computer..now 2019 is word computer true !!!!!!...the future in this song...
When this group and their music go out of fashion....you know the world has ended ....Kraftwerk ....they were the inventors ..and it was the only the beginning ...
RIP Florian Schneider.
legend
I have this on cassette
Man if yaw could see me right now because I’m crying 😭 because this is my childhood and these were the best times for me because I love dancing 🕺. Who doesn’t remember the first time being hit by KraftWerk? Man I taught myself how to tick off this whole album. Ticking is a more intricate form of popping. Popping is joint to joint and ticking is using your joints but twitching your muscles in between your joints to give it the appearance that your being jolted by electric ⚡️. This was my Jam
I wish I had found these guys as a kid (Born in 1973)...Just started diving into this in December 2019...truly as important as The Beatles or Chuck Berry...
I can dig it brother
I love this kraftwerk song how much I remember one of my favorites and what a time greetings who dj
Longterm Kraftwerk fan here, since 1984.
Besides the music you just have to love the strong German accent in the vocals!
R.I.P. Florian Schneider (1947 - 2020).
Business numbers money, people business numbers money people
Remember when the world was NOT all that. Kraftwerk were very prophetic.
After what happened with my tablet and some computers something else came threw maybe better as far making things happen. Hopefully yours did too as well or maybe even better!💻📱💷
This sounds amazing on vinyl
It does.
Hahaha another vinyl aficionado . I had it engraved on a 78 rpm shellac and it sounds even better
Fact's!!!!! I'm a dj and when I think back to all my classic equipment I can just imagine how good this whole album would sound magnificent on wax with great sounding speakers. Fact's!!!!
So you're saying a *digital* (RUclips) reproduction of vynil is better than a digital reproduction of the master tapes?
I've that LP (in fact all LP's from this great group). For some reason, that I cannot explain, they were responsible for my interest in electronics and computer programming (Assembly, Fortran and Basic) 🙂
Vinyl superior to digital, better sound. more heart.
Bad ass German's the true back bone of hip hop
True words spoken!

Today's artists who used "Electronic music" as label must be revised!
This guys are one of the first pioneers in electronic music using computer voice with real music. I mean they're not recycling music made by others!
this music reminds me little bit to ELO
:P
Nice intro!
Comicdominicano
Nope, they were the real genuine article!
In fact, ELO were influenced by Kraftwerk, hence the resemblance.
But many, many artists were influenced by this guys, even those with very different musical styles!
Thank you, señor Raúl! ;D
@@MrVinylObsessive Quite right. Hip hop for instance is very different music wise but even they admit that that style wouldn't have existed without their "grandfather" Afrika Bambaataa - and he himself said that he got a lot of influence by listening to Kraftwerk. Had he made his "Planet Rock" had he never heard Kraftwerk? Not a chance. If one wants to be a bit cynical one can say he just "funked up" their sound for dance clubs in Bronx, New York and got hailed as a "pioneer" which would be as foolish to claim that Henry Ford invented the car or that Bill Gates invented the computer.
And when it comes to the early "techno" pioneers they definitely had heard them.
No one comes close to Kraftwerk technology🔥💪🏻👈🏻☝🏻
First: this audio and video is superb. The minimalist image of the tone arm riding on a sea of black vinyl is hypnotic.
Second: isn't it ironic that this vinyl recording of techno pop, re-recorded for playing through YT, sounds better than most digital versions?
Thank you, @UCmR81CjsNWkTZwo5odbgG1A.
Ruhe in Frieden Florian Schneider.

😪 R I P 🎹🎤 FLORIAN 🌧😪
Pink Floyd first then Kraftwerk. oops I forgot
Tangerine Dream
And Gary Numan
Not even close pal! Floyd was way behind these German electronic pioneers. They may have used synths but Kraftwerk was inventing and building their machines. Look up the patents. Need I say more...
Die Väter der elektronischen Musik 💜
Masters of their art❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
I discovered KW after listening to Tangerine Dream back when vinyl ruled the day.
Daft Pank - Technologic... Now I know where they got the idea for that thing from :) Fantastic song. Need to get that album, I missed it somehow...
If you are familiar with Kraftwerk you will notivce that a LOT of music has been influenced by their work, not just techno.

Superb song!
I did not know this version (Computer World 2). Very nice!
That is VERY SAD NEWS to hear about FS!
Magnifique morceau, un vrai coup de maître.
Kraftwerk, Giordio Moroder and Jean Michel Jarre the best.
Used as the theme song for the BBC Television series "The Computer Programme."
1st minute must be an iconic sound for people of a certain generation...
Kraftwerk waren ihrer Zeit weit voraus!
Sehr weit!
i remember when folks were always comparing kraftwerk to devo...go figure? both were bad ass!!!!
Fred Jiles yes they were
Found the proper record. No shit remix.. luvv the werk..

Yes...very fantastic this song...now is the word of computer !!!!
They're good lads.
1981
The remastered edition is very bad...Original press of 1981 is more better than this..
FÈRNAN GARCÍA I believe that the original master tapes have begun to degrade.
Digital version is worse than analogue anyway
Anthem of computer world!
Awesome as always
Edgar Froese( Tangerine Dream), Klaus Schulze, Florian Schneider( Kraftwerk).
Holy Trinity of that wonderful sound 🖤 Edgar, Klaus and Florian...
Who could ever dislike this video!!! I'm wondering.
Missed the last 2 videos but Im sure this one won't be a problem. ;) Recently got a decent copy of Radio-activity which is my first of theirs on vinyl.
Aaron dltd ;)
Nice
I've used rips of this and Man Machine for the break-in of my loudspeakers tweeters. :D
*****
Yes, repetitive, never ending rhythms. If you love it, fine!
But if someone hates this, hearing this type of music for such long period of time, as for the break-in of the tweeters, may drive a sane person to madness! LOL!
MrVinylObsessive Actually I'm not much into electronic music; I've used this because Kraftwerk are one of the few stuff, along with classical, that make tweeters work hard.
Thanks for posting this on my birthday! One of my favorite bands. Keep up the good work.

Computerworld is a classic record I remember buying it on vinyl when it came out
esse som e o maximo
Demais!
Super
Sensacional!!!
@Deborah Jacob
They were able to predict the future! With the internet it truly is Computer World
Sublime.
A timeless classic :)
I was also going to post timeless but my clock is fucked.
amazing i love it
Very nice Rui :) That's what I call a perfect AE integration ;) BTW, very good bass :O
HiFispongebob
Yes, After Effects. I did it again! ;))
I think i'm getting addicted in making dynamic titles with AE. It's fun! Lots of work, but fun!
Yep, not a bad sound from this copy, (MOV) but some tracks do sound better than others. But i suspect the same happened with the original pressings, maybe it was a creative decision, not sure. I have this vinyl for two or three years, and one of my first videos was made with it, and it was Computer Love. :)
MrVinylObsessive I wish I could use AE...but I get dynamic link error :( I have to resign myself to the "crappy" Premiere animation...take a look at HiFisquarepant's last video and you'll see what I mean...
HiFispongebob
I am sorry to know about your dynamic link error, it's a very convenient feature.
I never had that problem, but i've read about it on the net some time ago. It's not an exclusive problem of the AE CC, but also affects previous versions. And not only on Windows, but also on Mac!
But tell me, does the program work as a standalone software? (without the link with PP)
If it does, you can always do your stuff in the old way, meaning importing your clip into AE, do your magic, and then rendering the finished clip in an appropriate intermediate format to be accepted by Premiere Pro. Usually, the options available for that format involves some type of lossless video format to avoid losing image quality.
But this is a very time consuming workflow, and after rendering, the effects are permanently "baked" in the file and you can't go back if wish to do so! It's much more convenient if you just manually import the AE saved file into Premiere Pro, no rendering needed, and the properties of the file (layers and stuff) are kept, but with your dynamic link problem, i'm not sure if this last solution will work for you. :(
MrVinylObsessive That was the way I used to do it in the past when I made my channel trailer and the "Altered State" video; I used AE as a standalone program but it was time-consuming...too big of a price for a "magic" that could be made with Premiere, with not that impressive results though. But I'm such a stubborn person (sometimes) that I'm sure that I'll get there! ;D
It is time isn't it, not crime.
