I'm going back to my cheerleading days...Out on the gym floor, half time. Us girls doing our routines to this song. Mentally doing the routine in my head. Good song, good times, great memories!
The sample is Van Halen....and “Please baby baby please” was a line from Spike Lee’s first movie She’s Gotta Have It - which was out about the same time as this song. The actress from the movie is actually in the video!
This brings back memories of my senior year in high school, in my small town, people cruisin the court square with this blasting on their car stereos, the bass thumpin on Orion speakers.

Part of this song was used in a good movie called Uncle Buck and it was with a big huge guy named John Candy who is from Canada where I'm from it is worth watching because it's really fun and it's also the first time you see Macaulay Culkin in a movie debut sadly John Candy passed away quite suddenly while he was making a movie and he didn't finish it but his stunt double did
I thought this might be a remake of the Troggs "Wild Thing" - just because of the title. Boy was I wrong. Just for contrast, you might listen to the Troggs piece. It is in a completely different style.
