The best stereo mix of Good Vibrations that I’ve ever heard, hands down. I mean, you absolutely killed it man, great job! I can’t wait for the rest of your SMiLE mixes!
I definitely prefer mono, but God is it so great to hear the instrumentation and vocals so clear and isolated, it really makes you appreciate everything that went into this song. It's definitely my favorite record of theirs. Also, fun fact: according to a scientific formula developed by university professor Dr. Michael Bonshor, Good Vibrations is the #1 song that makes people feel the happiest.
Always happy to hear somebody take on the task of making "Good Vibrations" in stereo or extending aspects of the song; The instrumentation and direction of this song always brings me back one way or another lol
as soon as first bassline came in I said "wow!". And this is through a 12 year old Bose bluetooth speaker - can't wait to listen on my proper setup later. This is by far the clearest mix I've heard - it reminds me of what the 90s stereo mix did for Pet Sounds. And you fixed the tape warble in the intro - bravo! thank you for this
02:16 when I heard the HEAVENLY chorus and vocals - I held my arms out logo for Brothers records. I was engulfed in a wave of pure, soul lifting power. You have made Good Vibrations the emotional tears to the eyes - hymn to God, Brian heard in his imagination all those years back in the 1960s. That was shocking and beyond words. Simply breath taking. Thank you SO MUCH.
@Anonymuse_ never realized how historically accurate your project would be🤣 hopefully we can continue getting these alt mixes piecemealed at least, they're great!
I fixed the abruptly cut backing vocals during the transition from Chorus 1 to Verse 2 in the original mono mix, where the vocal is supposed to go "excitations..." as heard in this mix, but is cut and sounds like "excitat-" because I'm guessing they quickly faded it out while manually mixing it with the faders. So no "mic bleeding" here, just fixed a problem. If you think the mono sounds better, you do you I guess.
@@Anonymuse_ I'm not criticizing you, I know what you did isn't easy, I guess after hearing the song all these years the changes are more apparent.. I did still give it a like.
@@Anonymuse_ Please. His mixes are almost mono. The newest mix for Don't Worry Baby is mono until the backgounds come in. If he's going to mix something to make it better, and the original is better than the remix, why remix? I don't find anything wrong with the wide original mixes. I happen to like Brian's voice on the left channel with the group on the right.
I've never heard the vocals sound so clear! This is amazing!

Some great touches to this mix. Well done!

Whoa! I've never heard the harpsichord so clearly! And you managed to make the AI isolated vocals sound decent. This is great!
I think its a tack piano

keep those good vibrations happening Carol Kaye!
this is just perfect, wow
Genius mix.
I wish the Feel Flows 1969-1971 remixes sounded as good as this!
I didn't even realize there was a harpsicord in this song
I like how you can actually hear the theremin pretty clearly! The panning on it is kinda weird though, I'd prefer it to stay on one side.
Thank you for this mix. I feel the same thrill that I got when I first heard this song, so long ago, when I listen to this.
Wow amazing job!
Nice mix, my friend! It was much better than mine, which was ready in March, but it was never posted 🤓
Nice mix! It reminds me of my own Latest Mix, which i've shelved but it was 90% complete.
Just wait a couple decades and finish it 👍
@@pepper5686 Actually, it's finished and i'll be uploading it on next week.
@@fabriciocastro4322 Oh hell ya! That’s awesome. I’ll be sure to listen to it.
I love what you did with the vocals here, do you happen to have those isolated?
Yeah, I think I'll upload that too.
New to your channel--these mixes are unreal. When is your version of SMiLE coming out?
I don't know, don't expect a release date. Also welcome!

Can we get a flac download for this please?
How (or why) did you add another dubbing voice at 2:30? I remember it was a double voice in the original, here. Now it's triple, right?
Yeah I added Mike's vocals on top of Brian's double tracked vocals.
What happened 0:52 at the beginning of the second verse?

No worries, I appreciate any type of feedback!
I absolutely second the point that 'excitations' was accidentally cut. You did a great job, thank you!
This mix totally sucks! Listen to some of the mixes being done by fans on RUclips. It's time for Mark Linett to hang up his gloves.
I'll let Mark know. 👍

This is a fan mix.
