Always no matter how many times I heard this performance I cry. It so deep, unique, you can see the true soul of Rostropovich, his voice, a prayer, sound like resignation to me, so brutally and honest. An amazing moment recorder for the eternity.

The sonority of the cello solo on a backcrpound of other cellos is something difficult to write, but when the result is perfect as here under the pen of Villa Lobos, it is a real magic delight.
