GREAT LIST! Thanks for making these Norm. Very enjoyable! I need to check out Samurai Sword and that LOTR game. I've been looking for one for a while, that one may be it!
Great Top 10 I have 7 (soon 8 with King Oil) of the 11 games in this video. And I love all 7 of them. The ones I don't have yet are Crossbows and Catapults, Voice of the Mummy and The Omega Virus.
Voice of the mummy is one of my favorites and I grew up playing crossbows and catapults... fantastic list! While I’m not a fan of the vintage versions of FI and DT I respect them and get excited watching others get excited over them. Great job buddy!
Michelle O So I buy vintage games I’d play or ones I find that are rare. The things I don’t like are how they play now I will admit the restorations held a huge weight on my decisions not to obtain them, but the way they play just doesn’t hold up nor makes sense. Dark Tower specifically is a tower designed to stop you and has no other reasoning there but to keep track of things and add problems. Can’t beat the only thing affecting you which always puzzled me lol. Fireball island is literally fireballs coming out while you run around with what feels like no real purpose. I’ll always respect nostalgia, but they’d never be classics for me since 1. I never owned them back in the day and 2. They don’t provide me what I enjoy about games other than just kool components which I obviously love. Haha hope that answers your question. Nothing but love for the games, but those aren’t choices I personally enjoy which is okay :)
Thanks for compiling this top 100 list. I have really enjoyed watching all of these videos. I agree that HeroQuest is one of the greatest games of all time. My problem is I do not have anyone to play my copy with. I also would rank the Lord of the Rings game in the top 10. I have the version from Wizards of the Coast with the plastic Hobbit figures and plastic ring (this came out before the Fantasy Flight version). Again, I do not have anyone to play this game with. Thanks again for this video series. I look forward to many more videos!
Heroscape is my number 1 game vintage or otherwise. Glad to see it made your list. I'm exited about the potential HeroQuest reprint/revamp, I've never had a chance to play that one, hopefully will now!
Heroscape is my favorite vintage game and in my top 5 games overall. I thrifted a copy early this year and have had such fun with it. I wouldn't play it with a huge board (because of the game length involved), but the custom armies and board set up makes for a unique and entertaining time every time.
😃👍 Nice list. I know you’re into vintage board games and top lists take a good chunk of time to make but I’d love to see your top 100(or 50) non-vintage board games. 🤷♂️ Just a thought.
I used to own Crossbows and Cataputs in the 80s in England ... I really regret selling it. Some real classics in there .. I know Fireball Island is a much sought after classic on ebay etc ... Didn't they make a Kickstarter for Fireball Island or Dark Tower ?? anyone know if it was done well or a flop ? they still have not remade heroscape sadly ... heroquest has been redone though by Hasbro I think
@@BoardGameMuseumer you two should really get together and make your own board game review show with game playing episodes, reviews, and board game hunting. Have special guests on and podcasts that people can see you like the Howard Stern show or something 😄

Board Game Museum Yeah why not? Possibly finding local gameshops that do game nights I tend to meet interesting people there

I got my Heroquest the last year, and I enjoyed a lot
Hero Quest is the greatest game they ever made and anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong. LoL 😄 😄

Very good 👍 very nice 👍👌😊😊
I totally forgot about Voice of the Mummy
I had Omega Virus as a kid but I never took the time to learn the rules right. I think it ended up at a yard sale. I regret getting rid of it.
I KNEW IT!! I KNEW IT!!💪🤣🤣
And that's why Hero Quest is so great. 😄👍
