What can help expand that is by taking a 1/2 or whole cup of bread crumbs put that in a bowl,add enough milk, or water to get it soupy and add that to the ground meat. Its basically a filler that expands the meatloaf to make it bigger, slices easier and there's more left over to use for another dinner or you can use it to cut down on the amount of ground beef you do use. Just add a pinch extra seasoning and you're good to go!
