    I was at 231 on Easter 3 years ago. With work and non stop movement and severe cut down on snacking...I was able to get down to 188 by around January of last year. She then was hospitalized with complications from cancer. Back n forth cross country sitting by her side for few weeks and she eventually lost her battle may of last year. While sitting in her room and away from work I had gained weight and haven't been able to lose it since. Now this virus....my dad contracted coronavirus and ended up passing away on St Patrick's day this year. I've been hovering around 210. Trying to get back to 190. I just started this today. Could only do 2 minutes worth. Knees are not good. But I definitely felt the heart rate. Plan on doing this everyday to go with 100 crunches a day as well now that I've been furloughed from work. Hopefully I can get to where weight falls and knees get better so I can maybe go the full 4 or longer

      Sorry to hear that. Hang in there.
      Be gentle on your knees: try with 2-lb dumbbells and limited range of motion. Also mix it up, wider squats, lunges every direction. Look up ballet squats, hockey lunges, reverse lunges.
      Stretch a bit nightly.
      The knees will probably be fine with deep squats with a few months.

    This, yes this.... Was the video that made me start to do fitness at home, now exactly 2 years ago. If it hadn't been for this little, subtle but so important startup video, I probably wouldn't have been there where I can find myself now: being in the best physical state of my life (at age 46) and still growing. I used this work-out for several months just on its own 3 times, each with a 2-4 minute break at the beginning of a day 2 days on one day off regime - I enjoyed it as a workout and it was convenient and you really feel it working all day while at work
    I built up from 1 time a day to 3 times over 3 weeks - however quicker weight loss will come from changing your eating habits as well as doing exercise like this
    The only caution point would be that in the squats part you can squat too low and if you have lower back problems or have had back surgery in the past then squats are not a good exercise for you L4-L5-S1 discs and this type of intensity or squatting too low can further damage or herniate/rupture the discs you are probably better to replace the squats part of the workout with another exercise like the making chair position with the wall against your back or better speak to a qualified sports trainer that can provide an alternative exercise to the squats part

    I’m doing this workout everyday at the moment. And actually really enjoying it in a weird way. Feel good after doing it BUT I’m feeling it a lot more in my legs than my stomach, is this normal?

    • @ttallassa
      @ttallassa 4 года назад +2

      i think the idea of this workout is not to tone the abs muscles but to burn calories in general, to eventually get to the belly fat. that is why it is more effective as a finisher of a longer workout, as one would have worked already the abs.
      we are doing mainly squats, so i guess it is expected to feel it a lot on the lower body.
      at least is what i understand from it =)

    Dude, nothing you did “targeted” belly fat. You did a fine display of basic exercises and that’s good to! If a person REALLY wants to burn fat and lose “belly fat” in particular, try intermittent fasting or one-meal-a-day fasting routine. It does wonders. I’m not discouraging anyone from doing a good cardio workout though!

      Microwave you bet it is. Whatever you were told about the dangers of fasting is wrong. Fasting cures diabetes, it puts your body through different stages such as ketosis which is a metabolic state that allows your body to burn fat, autophagy, which cells are replacing damaged ones, this stage after 24 hours has been proven to prevent Alzheimer’s, your human growth hormone rises, you feel more energetic and alert and ultimately your immune cells regenerate at a rapid rate. I strongly urge you to watch Dr. Ken Berry’s channel on here on RUclips. I was a non believer myself until I heard what he had to say.

    About 3 years ago I lost belly fat in the electrical machine running 5 days a week for 40 minutes a day. I would eat chicken and rice during dinner and cheese mashroom omelette in the morning. During the weekend I would eat anything but limit myself or eat something healthy as well. In 3 months I went from 215lbs to 180lbs, so yes the electrical machine does work if done right.
    Regardless of it recently I’ve started using this workout after my running but I only ran 30 and do this after and I like it because my legs have never been so strong💪🏽.

      *It works like this:* The body won't burn a single gram of fat as long as it has carbohydrates. It takes from 6 up to 12 hours for the body to burn up its storage of carbs (depending on how much bread, sugar and other things you've consumed). The body uses minimum 2000 calories a day to stay alive (breathing, heart beating, body heat etc), so as long as you eat less that 2000, you'll lose weight. If you eat less than 1200 however, you're inclined to call yourself an idiot, so don't. 1 kilo = 7700 calories / 1 LBS = 3500 cal.
      It's all mathematics. Literally.
      So the best to do it is when the body is empty of carbs, because then it will start straight at burning body fat.
      If you don't night or evening snack, you're probably empty in the morning - so do it before breakfast. If you have a cup of (black) coffee 40 minutes earlier or so, even better. (that is no sugar, no milk)

    To be honest, the best way to burn belly fat in 4 minutes without equipment is to push yourself away from the dinner table four minutes earlier than normal, and preferably, just before dessert. On the other hand, if you want to tone muscles and improve your cardiovascular conditioning, this regimen will help do that.

    • @WhtetstoneFlunky
      @WhtetstoneFlunky 8 лет назад +29

      MDubbDMV No exercise will reduce fat at a specific body area.

    • @WhtetstoneFlunky
      @WhtetstoneFlunky 8 лет назад +13

      MDubbDMV I originally said that no exercise will burn belly fat only. You can target specific muscles with exercise and strengthen those muscles, but muscles are not fat.

    • @WhtetstoneFlunky
      @WhtetstoneFlunky 8 лет назад +18

      MDubbDMV No. Exercising certain muscles will not burn more fat in the area of those muscles. It will simply burn more fat in general, assuming the caloric intake does not increase.
