Amad looked like he was limping off and slowed,nothing else on the bench but Antony,would’ve at least thought maybe he added urgency but just proved again he isn’t this level. Amad and casemiro had to finish those early chances. 2 goal disallowed narrowly, our forwards need to be more clinical as we are finally creating more but looking better in midfield with a fitter case. Just need de ligt to get fit to raise the back line and hjoland Ugarte to add quality depth so we have better options than Antony to come on

Until we even have squad depth replacements (aside from Rashford) it is illogical to complain about them being used. The only reason they're being used is for rotation purposes. If you don't substitute your players your squad will breakdown with fatigue and injuries over the season.

Wasn’t the worst performance but not good at all either ; and many of ETH’s decisions are just frustrating. The stubbornness and reluctance to make changes , especially with integrating new signings is vexing. Bruno and Mount in the same XI deployed that way doesn’t work , we lack a focal point in that setup. Zirkzee and Garnacho were the difference makers against Fulham yet both back on the bench, smh. De Ligt a better CB with an actual future at the club and Maguire is prone to a mistake, no reason to persist with Maguire and if MDL starts we likely concede at least one less goal. Garnacho should not be reduced back to a bench player , we’ve dropped too many points the last couple seasons when Garnacho doesn’t start or subbed off too early. Rashford isn’t offering much so he should be the impact sub fighting to get his place back. Taking Bruno off in what became and end to end match was ridiculous , let alone for Scott who is supposed to be out the door and just a vastly inferior player. ETH needs to be more willing and proactive with selection changes , shouldn’t take us risking and often dropping points to finally make changes. Has a Brighton fan I am really surprised that they are doing so well against some of the more famous teams in the premier League. It was not so long ago that Brighton was a nothing team in the lower leagues without their own stadium and then a poker player took over and gambled on them. Tony Bloom being the poker player. Have patience for now. EtH has two new additions to his staff, which I believe CAN make a difference. Ruud van Nistelrooy does not need an introduction. But René Hake is an excellent tacticus and a serious good field trainer. This will not be the last loss, but I really believe that this staff has all the capabilities needed to get this team the results. Zirkzee only has been about a week at the club. You cannot expect him, as well as De Ligt, to start from minute 1. They need time to adept and I think it's wise to bring them on in the second half, when most players have used a lot of energy. Zirkzee was unlucky with his off-side. You could see on his face and his body language, he knew right away it was off-side. That to me shows how clever he is. For me, he was a good substitution. Amad second half looked another player. Bruno indeed was a miss-gamble. Although McTominay wasn't bad when he came in. Brought a lot of energy. Defending second goal... Defending? Played out from the back (even with maguire) played good football ,scored two disallowed goals and had numerous huge clear chances that forwards should’ve put away. Press was strong as a team and midfield played well. Case looking more like season one version. People complain when we win ugly, would rather show system and playing well,now complain that we play well but not winning. Love your objective analysis and realistic expectations. A lot of other reactions are negative and seem to have a bias against ETH and certain players. Agreed that United actually seems to have somewhat of a style of play and made big improvements compared to last season. There will be growing pains, especially with adding new players and working on the chemistry but this season was always going to be challenging. Can’t expect performances like City, Arsenal, Liverpool after one summer.
Rashford is guilty for getting caught offside way too often. The guy isn't lacking in the pace department, so I don't see why he needs that half a metre advantage. Think this more to do with his football IQ and the lack of awareness of the offside line.

The big problem United have is creating chances in the penalty area and scoring enough goals. For 45 minutes today United had just one shot, none on target. Similar last week. The slow defensive football Ten Hag plays is not enough. If Ten Hag is going to keep his job he will need to send out a team that can create chances, lots of chances, and score goals, lots of goals. The signings this season all look good. Understanding the team selection today is impossible though. United definitely need a 20+ goal a season forward, that is clear.

I'm Dutch but certainly not a Ten Hag fan. I can't understand why he's still there, He made the same mistakes as v Gaal with his old Ajax players. I'm glad as a feyenoord fan that Slot isn't making the same mistakes. We miss Slot dearly in Rotterdam and I believe he will do very well in Liverpool. Kobbie has been bad for two games and can't run. Amad played bad but also last week. Mguire doesn't belong in the team because he makes United drop back too far. Dalot is a worthless defender with space in his back. He covers wrong and keeps running back when a player just comes a ball towards him. Finally. Wasn’t the worst performance but not good at all either ; and many of ETH’s decisions are just frustrating. The stubbornness and reluctance to make changes , especially with integrating new signings is vexing. Bruno and Mount in the same XI deployed that way doesn’t work , we lack a focal point in that setup. Zirkzee and Garnacho were the difference makers against Fulham yet both back on the bench, smh. De Ligt a better CB with an actual future at the club and Maguire is prone to a mistake, no reason to persist with Maguire and if MDL starts we likely concede at least one less goal. Garnacho should not be reduced back to a bench player , we’ve dropped too many points the last couple seasons when Garnacho doesn’t start or subbed off too early. Rashford isn’t offering much so he should be the impact sub fighting to get his place back. Taking Bruno off in what became and end to end match was ridiculous , let alone for Scott who is supposed to be out the door and just a vastly inferior player.
ETH needs to be more willing and proactive with selection changes , shouldn’t take us risking and often dropping points to finally make changes. Garnacho , De Ligt, Zirkzee should have started and Bruno should have stayed on (especially as becoming more a transition match suited BF even more) with those different decisions could be talking about a different outcome.
All very true. I would also like to know why we always start badly after halftime (is ETH singing lullabies in there?) and why we concede so often after 90 (panic sets in). Both seem to point to mentality issues and players not being sure what to do, which is on the manager.

Has a Brighton fan I am really surprised that they are doing so well against some of the more famous teams in the premier League. The defending of the 2 goals was so bad! Too many times, too many times, we can't do it can we, we can't keep them out.
Have patience for now. EtH has two new additions to his staff, which I believe CAN make a difference. Ruud van Nistelrooy does not need an introduction. But René Hake is an excellent tacticus and a serious good field trainer. This will not be the last loss, but I really believe that this staff has all the capabilities needed to get this team the results.
Zirkzee only has been about a week at the club. You cannot expect him, as well as De Ligt, to start from minute 1. They need time to adept and I think it's wise to bring them on in the second half, when most players have used a lot of energy.
Zirkzee was unlucky with his off-side. You could see on his face and his body language, he knew right away it was off-side. That to me shows how clever he is. For me, he was a good substitution.

Played out from the back (even with maguire) played good football ,scored two disallowed goals and had numerous huge clear chances that forwards should’ve put away. Press was strong as a team and midfield played well. Case looking more like season one version. Love your objective analysis and realistic expectations. A lot of other reactions are negative and seem to have a bias against ETH and certain players.
Agreed that United actually seems to have somewhat of a style of play and made big improvements compared to last season. There will be growing pains, especially with adding new players and working on the chemistry but this season was always going to be challenging. Can’t expect performances like City, Arsenal, Liverpool after one summer.
Defense were always around Mitoma, too much attentions to him and when he left, they just feel relaxed😂
Rashford is guilty for getting caught offside way too often. The guy isn't lacking in the pace department, so I don't see why he needs that half a metre advantage. Think this more to do with his football IQ and the lack of awareness of the offside line.

I am not sure have we both watched the same game because I was watching the game where Brighton dictated tempo through entire match, I am not sure what you`ve been watching.
Those 2 offside goals obviously play a game with yours observation of this match, at the end both were offsides and both had been only serious chances where united could have scored.
Brighton on other hand had at least 5 clear goal chances, they fought better, they played better and they looked like a serious team where players exactly know their place on the field
The big problem United have is creating chances in the penalty area and scoring enough goals.
