I'm 73 years old and am about to live my daydream in October of this year. Going to ride my motorbike from the UK to Capetown. Trouble is, it scares the hell out of me. But, when I'm beginning to doubt that I'm up to it, I play this song and my courage is re-born.

The way she died was horrific and it 100% changed every fiber of who I am!! This song hits me hard ! I did quite my job a couple months ago to take time to sell my house, move and find a smaller house now that the children are moved out and start my sewing business ! When i had told my boss that i was going to quite to pursue my dreams she looked at me... weird. What in the hell was i talking about! Wow! Same thing happened to me back in 2001. I had just released my first CD and had the first tour planned. Found out about 30 days before the start of the tour that my Mom had terminal cancer with only maybe 9 months left. I couldn't leave her. My Dad and Mom made sure we had everything we needed when we were growing up and I was not about to leave her and be somewhere criss crossing the states. I cancelled the tour and spent the time she had left with her and my brother. After she passed . . . I had no desire to even play music for awhile. I needed the time to let my heart heal. Eventually I did return to the stage and resume my career but I never regretted my decision.
Here I am 31 years old. Singing this song after nothing but heartache this past year and a half. I had to shut down my business that started becoming very successful due to a bad landlord. The day after shutting my doors my mom found out she's terminally ill. She's a legitimate angel who has done no wrong in life. She became mom to many people. 😭😭😭😭 This song gets me man. I'm not giving up on my daydream. I can't.

I’m only 15, but this song makes me want to “live my daydreams.” I’ve always wanted to go to college for history or psychology and I think this is just what I needed to make that decision. I ended up thanking my sister for everything she’s done for me, and for living her own daydream so that I have a role model to live mine. Then when you're 50, you can look back on your story and see how you got to where you are. The good and the bad, the success and failures. Go for anything you want.
the biggest gains are form the biggest risks. Don't ever give up your dream. I'm 37 and i'm still after mine. I'm so very close its within my grasp. Its taken a lifetime but i'll get it. Its been a tough ride to this point but at no point did i ever let anything knock me down and keep me there. Broke, Homeless, Broken(neck lol) Eviction, new jobs 52 homes and moves. if your not dead, you can still get there if you are resilient enough.
Hey I just failed my high school exam so I can't go to college this year and i had all these plans and 2 days ago I was shattered and cried everysingle hour and then hear I am listening to this song I'm feeling way better. Tommorow I'm gonna register to rewrite the exams I failed and I'm gonna do everything I can to pass. I ended up losing my job, and rejected by family and friends because I just couldn't pick myself up. 3 years later, I am still unemployed, and stewing in self pity and depression. I loved her and wanted to marry her. Now I am left figuring out how to start life afresh at 31. I thank God, He has been faithful through it. We are not alone.

I'm 45 years old and totally love this song. I lived my daydream (even for a short time). I went back to school at age 24 even though everyone was laughing at me and didn't think that would finish. In May 2009, I graduated with a Master’s Degree in criminal justice. I got to be a probation officer and eventually a law enforcement officer working in the Youth crime victim department. It was short lived daydream due to a car accident in 2013 and couldn't work anymore. Besides having my daughter (who is now an EMT at 28 yrs old living her daydream), that short stint was the happiest I was. So ANYONE out there, it's never too late to live your daydream.
@ladydimom276 due to the traumatic brain injury I have, my brain doesn't work fast enough to dispatch. I passed all the tests except the simulation of police, fire and EMS calls. I'm still trying to find ways to still work in law enforcement even after 10 years.
I’m about to be 52 years old and, looking back over the last half century, I cannot tell you how many times I was told… You should’ve done something in Music! About six months ago I was surprised to be offered my first paying gig thinking it would be the one and only but, that has turned into a steady two or three gigs per week. Absolutely beautiful! I can relate with most of that, most of us can thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart. I cared for my mom after a massive stroke. I remember one time asking her if there was anything else she would like for me to do one afternoon of the three precious months I cared for her, and she said, "Sing for me." Your mom is oh so happy for probably the most she has ever been! Keep it up, sis! Don't quit your daydream! Run with them! Fly with them!

I'm going to be 55 in a couple of months and close to 2 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer, going thru the treatments and surgery i am now cured of cancer. I know the ups and downs and the hardships that come with this and I'm so sorry that your Mom passed away! The biggest thing I can tell anyone that has goneor going thru this either having it or having a family member who is....... Stay strong, support thru love, and most of all never give up! Cancer is a thing that has no certian outcome and nothing is set in stone! My mum in 2009 Cancer one lung.. Emphysema in the other... i wish she'd had the lung with cancer removed.. we could have dealt with the Emphysema .. but the standard treatment was her choice and it didn't work for her ... Radiation, Chemo and a trial drug took her way too soon... her sister had one lung and 3 ribs removed years earlier and lived another 10 yrs.. Until Emphysema took her... as it did their other sister... when i had my Health Food Store i was able to help a lady with Emphysema to get well... diet plays a major part... i know mum is in a better place now.. No more tears, death, pain or sickness for her in Heaven.. dad joined her just before Covid hit our Aussie Shores together at last.. mum passed the day after their 55th anniversary.. 🥲 They're always in our heart and thoughts... the pain does subside but they're always part of us and with us... a bit like Yashua (Jesus) who promises never to leave or forsake us.. always there... May the pain you feel be replaced with a heart full of peace... 🙏 God bless you and Lily

I'm moving to California with my dog at the end of the summer. Idk where I'm going when I get there but I've always wanted to leave my town. I'm 36 finally time to do this.
Wow! Same thing happened to me back in 2001. I had just released my first CD and had the first tour planned.
Found out about 30 days before the start of the tour that my Mom had terminal cancer with only maybe 9 months left.
I couldn't leave her. My Dad and Mom made sure we had everything we needed when we were growing up and I was not about to leave her and be somewhere criss crossing the states. I cancelled the tour and spent the time she had left with her and my brother. After she passed . . . I had no desire to even play music for awhile. I needed the time to let my heart heal.
Eventually I did return to the stage and resume my career but I never regretted my decision.
Taking care of Mom means whole world, it's the best decision in our lifetime..

I'm 45 years old and totally love this song. I lived my daydream (even for a short time). I went back to school at age 24 even though everyone was laughing at me and didn't think that would finish. In May 2009, I graduated with a Master’s Degree in criminal justice. I got to be a probation officer and eventually a law enforcement officer working in the Youth crime victim department. It was short lived daydream due to a car accident in 2013 and couldn't work anymore. Besides having my daughter (who is now an EMT at 28 yrs old living her daydream), that short stint was the happiest I was. So ANYONE out there, it's never too late to live your daydream.

@ladydimom276 due to the traumatic brain injury I have, my brain doesn't work fast enough to dispatch. I passed all the tests except the simulation of police, fire and EMS calls. I'm still trying to find ways to still work in law enforcement even after 10 years.

I remember one time asking her if there was anything else she would like for me to do one afternoon of the three precious months I cared for her, and she said, "Sing for me." I know the ups and downs and the hardships that come with this and I'm so sorry that your Mom passed away! My mum in 2009 Cancer one lung.. Emphysema in the other... i wish she'd had the lung with cancer removed.. we could have dealt with the Emphysema .. but the standard treatment was her choice and it didn't work for her ... Radiation, Chemo and a trial drug took her way too soon... her sister had one lung and 3 ribs removed years earlier and lived another 10 yrs.. Until Emphysema took her... as it did their other sister... when i had my Health Food Store i was able to help a lady with Emphysema to get well... diet plays a major part... i know mum is in a better place now.. No more tears, death, pain or sickness for her in Heaven.. dad joined her just before Covid hit our Aussie Shores together at last.. mum passed the day after their 55th anniversary.. 🥲
