Everyone in the car knew she was dying of cancer, and I also knew this trip was my dad's final gift to his mom. This song will always remind me of that drive back home to LA in the summer of 1987.

I first got tuned into this song during my first duty-station in Bamberg, W. Germany 1987. July 2012 while waiting for a load I got a msg. from dispatch to call my folks at the hospital and found out my dad was dying of cancer (lived for 10 more days). First truck stop was 30min away. stopped to (try to) collect my thoughts, walked in the facility and this song was playing. Lyrics didn't apply to the dreadful situation much, but it was nice to be encompassed with some good vibes emitted from the song -despite the circumstances. RIP _"Pops"_ ✝️🌎🌤️
