I have it on personal knowledge that the paramount layoffs that occurred The entire marketing department of Paramount+ how this directly affects new trek is anyone’s guess but, there you have it. I have to wonder if this is the first step to killing Paramount+? And then what does that mean for new trek?
I'm not sure if this is true for the publication. Titan was running it & they are an independent company. It shouldn't have been hard to keep it going even with Paramount firing staff but it could have been enough to end it.
I used to buy _Star Trek Monthly_ and _Star Trek Communicator,_ which were fun reads and never felt like they existed solely to shill corporate product
Tbh, I've never really been a collector kind of person for anything I'm interested in. I mean, I have things that family have given me over time, but I myself don't really collect things. My sister on the other hand loves getting autographs, etc. from her favorite franchises, bands and so forth.
@@stevearts85 In short, I don't like to accumulate things that I really don't have the room for. I have half size replica of the Sword of Kahless I have hanging on my wall by my desk, that's about it. The rest of what I have are some collector's editions of some of the movies on DVD that I bought at Best Buy years ago, some action figures, Qmx badges, etc. that are in my closet.
@@stevearts85 Also, I really didn't get introduced to Star Trek until the early 2000s when I was 10-11 years old. So I got the tail end of Voyager on TV and then of course, Enterprise. However, I never watched anything prior to that on TV. Certainly not TOS as I wasn't even born yet.
Good who would spend their money to go on buy a star trek magazine and have their time wasted reading crap from Kurtzman and Trump hating star trek actors
