I had a feeling Austin would be the unanimous #1. Bryan had the greatest chase of all time. I don't think there would be a WWE without Bret carrying the company at its weakest point.
Bryan had a fantastic chase with the yes movement and the eco champion was so good and I love the guy and there is a strong case to be made for him being the best in ring worker ever but I don’t think he’s worthy to be a number 2 spot for this list tbh
Same with Bruno. The NWA _was_ professional wrestling for the first two decades of the WWE's existence. Without Bruno's star power, the rest of the list simply doesn't exist and the WWWF never makes it to WWF, never mind WWE.
I'm kinda surprised nobody put Triple H, even at number 9 or 10. At the time, Triple H was THE bad guy, introducing many future stars into main event scene, being a de facto final boss for Daniel Bryan, elevating Batista and Randy in Evolution and serving as a reliable, consistent main event star across many years.
There is an argument to be made that his Reign of Terror made him a great Heel because we just all collectively hated him, and wanted to see him lose the title so badly. But the fact that we wanted the world title belt OFF of him says it all.
@@deanmcdougall5331 Yeah but by that logic The Rock's reigns were even worse. Corporate champ was decent but everything after that was just belt swapping shenanigans.

What a fun way to start a new series and it’s always fun to see Hollywood Salcedo joining the WT Crew. Really enjoyed this one folks and maybe you try and do Best Tag Team Champions (all major promotions) or Best IC Champs. Loving the content and I’m here for this series.
I was shocked the Planet's Champion didn't come up during the first Bryan discussion. While the WrestleMania 30 win is exceptional, the Planet's Champion was handily his best reign
This is a cool format! Discussion side of things keeps things fresh, especially with different guests! Id be intrigued by a 10 favourite matches of all time episode!
Honestly, super happy to see Backlund make the list. The man was a legit powerhouse and should've been high on all your lists. And while I'm happy Bruno showed up, because obviously, I'm really sad to see Pédro Moráles wasn't here, easily in my top three with Austin and Bruno. I feel even more than Backlund that he gets lost to history. 10- Hulk Hogan 9- Edge 8- Kurt Angle 7- Daniel Bryan 6- Bob Backlund 5- The Rock 4- Brett Hart 3- Pédro Moráles 2- "Stone Cold" Steve Austin 1- Bruno Sammartino
Great twist on the usual list format. Only suggestion might be to have everyone’s full ordered list on screen at the end so viewers can see how close or far apart everyone was.
I can usually be objective and decide after the video is over whether you have or have not earned a like. But right when I saw Denise, I knew I didn't need to wait for the end, immediate thumbs up. Best personality in the wrestling world. Make her full time WT. Denuke watch along streams, please.
I know Pete said he didn’t have much more to add about Stone Cold, but it’s interesting getting to hear stuff from his perspective considering he started watching wrestling later than the other two and this whole thing highlighted just how different everyone’s views on wrestling can be, and it was really cool. It also got me thinking that Steve Austin might be one of the few people who are simultaneously the best at the chase AND at being champion, and I think that’s what makes him the best.
Totally love this segment! Definitely want to see more of this as it’s so much fun and loving everyone’s in-depth explanation based around their lists. Also, Denise as a special guest is a nice touch and wonderful way to bring this segment into fruition!
This was so cool, the idea for this video was awesome, I even loved how for one category all three chose Stone Cold Steve Austin and all three individually had different perspectives about why they chose him from their wrestling experiences.
I wish oli could literally do everything on screen, Adam was the only other one I could tolerate but u know the story there … now Denise is on again ugh no thanks
I loved this, it felt like friends just having a fun conversation. Mega plus that I agree with every choice because the pitches just made sense as a fan.
This new series is awesome. Please do more!!! Bring back Denise have other special guests on there as well. I love this so much I had to watch it multiple times and shared it with all my friends.
I have to argue that the undertaker was a top 10 world champion. He was the final boss on smackdown and when he held the world title, it made it feel more special and a prize truly worth going after for anyone brave enough to go one on one with the undertaker. Also talking about building their character around the world title, look at triple H during the mid 2000s. His entire character was based on holding the world title and being the top man. You can also throw in batista's name into the hat as well. Both him and taker went back and forth as the top guy on smackdown as the champ.
Loved this episode! For all the surprise of how different your answers were, it's worth noting that between the 30 answers given there were only 14 wrestlers mentioned... which means you were all incredibly aligned on who's in the Top 10 even if the order you put them in were different. *Five* of the wrestlers were mentioned by *all 3 of you.* *Six* of the wrestlers were mentioned by *2 of you.* And only _three wrestlers_ were mentioned by only one of you. (Shoutout to Bob Backlund!) You all know your stuff!
I love when Jim Ross would be commentating on Austin's matches. His "Stone Cold! Stone Cold!" as Austin would run to the ring or hit the stunner was iconic.
I agree with Denise's placement of the Rock. Remember, this is a WWE Champion list. He didn't need the belt to be supremely over. Typically, he had the belt to get his opponent to the next level or further some story (Austin, HHH, Brock, Cena). He just didn't need it to feel important.
Only Denise seemed to understand this. The other two seemed to treat it as a "My favourite wrestlers that were Champion" list outside of perhaps realising HBK and Taker couldn't really be included. The inclusion of Edge considering most of his title reigns were forgettable ones with La Famiglia is just cray-cray. Rock is a borderline Top 10 inclusion, and Punk and Bryan have no business being there either. Putting Sammartino at 9 or 10 is as Denise says, like putting Babe Ruth as 10 on Top 10 Baseball players or Gretzky 10 on NHL players...it would actually have been less insulting to leave him off the list than have him at 9 or 10.
i agree with #1 100%. i rarely watched wrestling before 1998. But March 29, 1998 I was at my grandmas house and she had a cable box that got free PPV channels. Watched Wrestlemania 14 and then I was a fan for life
Crazy how you can argue for certain names that aren't on these least as much: Triple H - 2000 Hunter is what I think of when you show me the Attitude Era belt HBK - maybe one of the best babyface wins and heel losses in the title's history Pedro Morales - Next to Bruno, his run is ridiculous Orton - I think of him with the spinner belt as much as Cena Jeff Hardy - Selfish pick. The 2007-2008 chase for the belt and rivalry with Triple H is how you make a star. It was a FINALLY moment in an age of Cena and Orton domination.
Im sorry but can we please bring back denise. I just found this playlist of videos and denise is hands down one of the best parts of it. She brings so much to the table
one of the problems with adding Michaels, as good of a wrestler as he is, is that he is forever known as the worst drawing champion in the companies history as a world champion. Surprisingly, that's actually true. For a period of time he was drawing worse numbers than Diesel and Sid.
It's subjective and so can be justified as an inclusion as he's so great: but at the end of the day any objective measure (but mostly the single most important one of *being a draw*) says Michaels was a bad champion. It's why despite being basically the GOAT American in the ring he can never credibly be put on a Mt Rushmore of wrestling. Just had no mainstream cut through. They were even pushing it including Bret TBH.
Not to nitpick, but the main reason the fans didn't count the three when DB won the gold was because it was the first time he'd used his new finisher, and we didn't realize it was a finisher yet :D
@@ajk depends on who you ask I guess. Watching wrestling in the late 80s through 2000s I never really made the connection of Flair with either WCW or WWE as world champion. NWA champion sure, as there were pictures and old videos of him carrying that thing around everywhere.

He deserved much more as champion) 10) Macho Man Randy Savage (to me, the champion of the 80s. OOH YEAH)
This was fun, could you do a segment at the end where you debate who goes highest in a final list where you take the entrants from all 3 lists. Would be fun to see where people go to bat or dig their heels for their chosen candidates and who doesn't make it to the final 10
Love this channel. Love the different shows and this is a great one. But no Triple H or HBK on these lists? That's crazy! Lovely to see Randy Savage get a shout out!
Maybe I’m biased since he’s my all time favourite but Shawn Michaels not making any list is crazy. The guy brought a different style to the championship not really seen before. He was a “high flyer” at the time and gave his all in every match. He made every defence dramatic and was always an entertaining watch. Again, just my opinion of course, just shocked he wasn’t mentioned at all.

I'm surprised not even one of you had HHH on their list. But I do agree with #1. Personal favorite and also a big deal for the business. If he hadn't got injured he would have made the WWE even bigger possibly.

My top 3 wrestlers period in in no particular order are Bruno, Brett and Flair with honorable mention to Backlund Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles. and the yes chant came well before Daniel was a face. …. .. and Denise is the best!
