That reminds me of my can opener. I’m an old school myself and still using the manual that hurts your thumb, I think it’s time for me to buy a new one. I like your can opener it’s so easy 😃

I’m always concerned about the can tops (I try to keep the tops in the can but occasionally I don’t) cutting someone taking garbage out - problem fixed.

Heyyyy sis! Yeah, i put it under the counter for now. I hate this one didnt have a knife sharpener but i still have the old one. lol I've been cut on the tab lids that we pull open before so I love this opens them smooth. My mom had one that had a built-in knife sharpening stone that turned . I can't find one like the one she had and I don't remember the name , I'd love to find one . Really like the way that works and the cans would make better oil lamps too . TFS 😊

I wish I would have read Amazon reviews before purchasing the Hamilton Beach 76606ZA! It worked for a while, but it fails to open cans. Even worse, as soon as the can starts turning the can opener shaves very thin metal strips from the can. Some stick to the can, some get in the food. Amazing how many people have experienced this and they kept selling it. As for warranty, you pay shipping both ways, so cheaper to go buy a can opener from a company that cares about their customer safety and satisfaction.

What is the model number of your old one please?
This is a great can opener. Only thing I would sday is do not put the lid back on and storer unused food in the fridge in the can. Not a good idea as you can get sick. best to put the remainder in a glass bowl with a lid sealing it. Other than that it is a great can opener.

I bought this today after this review but it does not work on 6 oz. cans of tomato paste which is one of the things I need it for. Total drag.
😮Really? That's crazy. I haven't opened a can that small but I want to go buy one now just to see why that is. Maybe the rim of the can is too small. Why would they do that? Everyone has different sizes of cans to open. I have so many questions now. Thanks for letting me know, I have to check this out. Sorry, that sucks. I would have never thought it wouldn't open all cans. I have fell in love with this can opener.
