I Actually Used Mouse Accel for 1095+ Days (These were the results..)

Acceleration and Skypad is just nuts. I tried it for a bit and came to the same conclusion as Hollow, Viscose etc. Its just another variable and for most people, another thing to stress about as if many are not already putting too much emphasis on sensitivity, fov and whatnot.
For the short time i tried it tho, Motivity was my favorite. I could look around fast and when i had to ADS it was very steady and precise. Natural was nice too. But yeah, just another rabbit hole to mess with your mental - hey what curve to use, what settings etc.

I think if you see it as an aid instead of a variable it works better mentally. I’ve been on static for a while and did good for the most part, I just like accel because it’s easier to look around etc, also my normal sense feels more controlled and smoother

Thank you, as always! I actually, finally tryed Raw Accel today. Played for couple of hours with Motivity as funny as it sounds and actually enjoyed and didn't even thought to change it. I noticed that it's different and some steady slower tracking moments made me kind of stuck behind the target, other then that I enjoyed it way more then I thought :) Will try some more settings that you mentioned. Anyways, I just finished my session and remembered that you always talked about this and thought to check if there is something new, apparently you made another video on this topic just 2 weeks ago. I’ve used acceleration for a year, my conclusion was simple. Good for tracking bad for for flicks, but I also used a high sens. I do have a nice range of sensitivity where I just can’t miss instead of one exact sensitivity that I’m comfortable with.
I use to suck and tracking and was perfect with flicks now I’m 90% perfect with tracking and flicking is 60% roughly, but after turning back to no acceleration I imagine my flicks will get back to where it was and my tracking will also improve. I think I’m done with mouse acceleration since now I no longer need it for what I turned it on for witch was tracking.

Ever tried Custom Curve? Same as raw accel but more intuitive imo. Either way both are solid Mouse Acceleration Programs

What is your thought on playing with accel on, but aimtraining with accel off on both of your sens ends of your accel setting? lets say you use accel ingame that goes from 50cm to 30cm/360 and you aimtrain specifically on those two sensitivties only with accel off.

what's your thoughts on strategies how to make it work for you personal needs? What I'm thinking is to find input speed which is for optimal most common target movements and make it steady, i.e. the same velocity for expected running targets 20m away. When you find this, you could start figuring out the max velocity that is comfortable like 1.3x, 1.5x etc. When that's sorted, work on the curve between 1 to identified max velocity. This is just an example and I'm not sure if it is feasable idea. Have you tryed to optimise in similar manner? In this case, maybe the Jump could be the best to optimise for this scenario.

Since you’re using accel long-term and mentioned all the variables and option complexity, you’d be a prime candidate to use Custom Curve instead (transparency, I now co-dev it since I wanted some options personally that aren’t possible in Raw Accel, but I also support Raw Accel devs). Custom Curve doesn’t rely on formulas or variables at all and is just a single spline function to make any curve shape imaginable. The version you’d want is not free (one-time $10), but if you’re sticking with accel it’s definitely worth it.
One point I thought was really great you made was about the pad effect on using acceleration. This is totally true and not mentioned a lot, control pads can be great for static sens users to help with stopping power and accuracy but using a curve to decelerate the velocity takes care of that itself, so slow / control pads / feet become a hindrance for sure

I have it off :) Enhance pointer precision in most modern FPS games gets overwritten.

@@Haynlo1 ummm, it used to allow you to minimize it. I just leave it up now because it started bugging. It barely takes up resources. So doesn't impact anything leaving it up.
Software that does one job of just acceleration.
