The old lesson is a bit hard to follow, and if you recorded a new version of it it would be absolutely perfect. I have seen countless versions of the solo being played on youtube, and they always seem to get something wrong. If there is anyone who can play that solo perfectly, it's you mate. You are definitly the best guitar teacher on youtube, and we all love your lessons. Cheers mate
I can't wait for your lesson on kirk's second solo, it's gonna be a ripper and i thought i'd fill you in for a solo i wanna learn which is fairly simple but it has a shred lick that plagues me to this day It's from the song Bmblb by Jeff Williams, but before you get too excited you need to tune down into drop D, you can do that solo or Not Fall In Love With You also by Jeff Williams and you'll need wah for that but it's in E Standard

I thought the same thing, too. However, Kirk often plays it the way Chris does here, with the last note being that lower one. Sounds off to me, but since Kirk does it that way live, I give Chris a pass. :)

Kirk just keeps regurgitating the same ole wah wah pedal shit running up n down the neck on a single string as fast as he can.
Sam Slotemaker It might be because it's old. I forget why, but there were a few songs I tried to play along to that were slightly off tune because of remastering or something. Couldn't tell you why. Some bands also use their own off tuning to make it feel more unnerving, which would make sense for this song.
