Old pre 1995 cars can survive water. The new ones your computer and 500 sensors fried your car is totaled. Or a low tech 250 motorcycle like a Honda rebel up until 2010 or so can survive a flood easily. If you have multiple vehicles it’s better to have at least one old rebuilt one even if the gas mileage is worse at least it’s not dependent on a computer that can be hacked or fried by water.

We usually get rain every day, but it only lasts an hour or so, then it clears up. 3. It’s seems to me that we usually get 1 big rainstorm in the late spring every year to kick off the summer, and then in the fall, we get another 2-3 day rain flood event to end the summer. I'm staying in Sebring Florida. It's over 100 ft above sea level. You should not comment on thing you have no clue about. Cuz new Orleans is way lower that any part of Florida. Hence why Katrina leveled that place with over 15 ft of water.

Old pre 1995 cars can survive water. The new ones your computer and 500 sensors fried your car is totaled. Or a low tech 250 motorcycle like a Honda rebel up until 2010 or so can survive a flood easily. If you have multiple vehicles it’s better to have at least one old rebuilt one even if the gas mileage is worse at least it’s not dependent on a computer that can be hacked or fried by water.

This is why no insurance companies want to do business in Florida. These extreme weather events are becoming more frequent. Long Island NY is also prone to extreme rainfall and flash flooding. I feel like every time we get rain (which is very often) it’s a torrential downpour that causes flash flooding. We can’t pretend that climate change isn’t a real problem. Deserts cities like Phoenix AZ and Las Vegas NV are in a massive drought. It can rain in those places but it doesn’t rain often enough. Lake Mead in Nevada has dropped nearly 200 feet in the last two decades and that’s the lake that supplies Las Vegas with water. We all need to do our best to use less water, no matter where we live in this world. Keep your showers between 5 and 10 minutes and use your dishwashers rather than handwashing dishes. Dishwashers use 80% less water than handwashing.

2. In the summer, we rarely get 2-3 day long widespread rain storms, unless there is a hurricane. We usually get rain every day, but it only lasts an hour or so, then it clears up.
3. It’s seems to me that we usually get 1 big rainstorm in the late spring every year to kick off the summer, and then in the fall, we get another 2-3 day rain flood event to end the summer. Just something I’ve noticed.

I'm staying in Sebring Florida. It's over 100 ft above sea level. You should not comment on thing you have no clue about. Cuz new Orleans is way lower that any part of Florida. Hence why Katrina leveled that place with over 15 ft of water.
