Drum Corps Japan championships are SOOOOoooo on my bucket list! These guys would absolutely slay in DCI open class... In fact, a good portion of Japanese corps would be extremely competitive in DCI. The quality of musicianship and dedication to the craft is Japan is second to none.
This is really amazing. Bravo I was involved in American Drum Corps for 10+ years. After aging out in my local New Orleans drum corps, I joined some alumni in New Jersey. I was with admin and creative staff 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, and a few visits in 85. It was the best time to be in drum corps. And we raised the bar, opening great new ideas. Now bugles are long gone and electronics play a major role. The 21st Century drum corps is incredible. And these Asian groups I watched today - Unreal. Does anyone here know what organization is governing these groups, what type of horns are being played, and when is the "season" ? Thank you ~rad~

So wish there were 10 more color guard. The show is beautiful and deserves the visual accompaniment.
