The rut is always late here in southwest VA primarily mid to late November is prime rut. Finding beds and food are key this time of year. Good luck guys. Great video

i think he means hanging stands in trees that are smaller, like the size of a small pole. that's how i understood it. smaller diameter trees

I really think people misunderstand pressure. 2 weeks ago I was scouting run into some 2 year old sign ... I'm tagged out and hes 2 so I didnt care if I spooked him. I ran into his primary scrape and then ran into him at noon he was on the hoof. A week ago I found 3 year old sign I assumed he was bedded in a particular area I went around it and followed his sign I ran into him sparring with another buck at 11am . On the 9th of october I shot my buck a 4 year old just on his normal pattern about 20 mins before dark I was atleast 400 yards from his bed. My point is they are moving bc they dont feel any pressure ... I hadn't been on those properties at all yet . All 3 situations happen on different properties. I beleive when not bothered these bucks will move around all day ... however they smell you , see you and your too close I beleive it only takes one time and that wont be happening in that area for a while. Any time ya walk in the woods its pressure. The spartan forge thing bothers me bc 2 of these instances werent in the bucks bedroom. And they where moving 11 am and noon ... its pressure
