Was there many times!!!!! Yes,was in line first thing in the morning to go to church that afternoon,It was wonderful!! The first time I was there I asked the Lord many time if it all was real. They called people to get prayer at the end of baptism every Friday night and if it was your first time being there. My 11 year old son,his friend and myself walked down as I was still asking the Lord if all that I was seeing was Him. We were as close to the front as we could get due to all the people there and all of a sudden....... I was hit by a river of water, knee deep and it almost knocked me down it had so much force. It came from my left and it was going right. I could even feel the water splashing up on me. I looked at my son and said, God just showed up!!! God let me know right then that it was Him at work.

My question is, why did revival stop?
I have heard so many wonderful things also about the one that hit the street called Azuza in Los Angeles 100 years ago, but just like the one in FL, that one also ended.
Is it because people after a while take revival as a common thing?
It makes me sad to know that a church that once experienced such a great movement of God have nothing else but just memories of it now.
Did people stop longing for God's presence or did they take for granted that His presence was going to be there no matter what?
What was it that stopped this revival?
Maybe there is something we need to learn out of these two well kown past revivals in America and ask the Lord to help us understand that we shouldn't take what is Holy as something common, our pastor in Los Angeles always tells our church, let not that which is sacred or Holy become common among us.
If we don't obey Him and go the way He wants us to go or try to manipulate Him in going the way we want Him to go.
He will surely leave the scene in an instant.
I just hope and wish next time He sends another revival that we may be able to keep it till the day of His return.

The demonization got in genre and messed it all up. They really tried their hardest to control not just the revival but the church it self and the ministry there. The ag denomination who held sway over the physical church and licensed the ministers there came in and really wrecked it. Even a few of the old members didn't want this revival at all. In my opinion the general council of that denomination ruined the move of God for that church and caused a big mess. Next thing you know ministers of the revival were forced to go elsewhere or come under the direct control of the denominational leaders and regulations of their denomination. If they weren't all under that denomination , they didn't want them ministering or teaching there.
They killed one of the greatest revivals I ever attended .

One thing I know, not just the AG but in many other organizations there are people who would love more money and profits than the Lord and His presence.

@@leonardoasencio1040 with my little knowledge on revivals, I learned revivals don't last for long. Some last just few months and others few years. They come to steer the people to go out and do things. We can also consider the Pentecost to be one of the first revivals and u know it didn't take long for the brethren to be scattered in Jerusalem but the received something that took the gospel to the entire world.
I was told by my parents and elderly people of a great revival that took place in my nation Cameroon and my village in particular and it lasted just for six month. With tens of thousands of people that attended it. So to that I think revivals come to heat people and the don't last long.

I laughed out loud about being run out of church. I sincerely am shocked I haven’t been. I absolutely have been blocked from certain positions due to my spiritual gifting‘s not being understood as I feel God is calling me to defend then at the expense of me. I say things that I know my church doesn’t even believe in but I always have them Scripture to read on the topic. And they are all true believers, and humble enough to say they don’t understand, haven’t experienced it, but know they see the good fruit of it. All glory to Jesus.
And the less christ focused and prideful your church is the more likely it is that a true believer will get kicked out, however not every person that gets run out of a church were actually on God’s side of how to handle things there even if they were a true believer. They also may never have been actually run out, they just felt run out when they weren’t understood but were too young of A believer to be able to bring about unity through scripture and humility.
Mega churches are not always bad, and they are not always good. The vast majority of the people are drawn there because of God and that cannot be denied. Even supposedly watered down churches are often simply very focused on evangelism and missions to bring people from the local Community to learn about the basic characteristics of an only good God and how you can seek him in what some christians mock as a seeker friendly church. Who would want to be an un-seeker friendly church?
It’s not wrong that one part of the body is meeting people who are just at the beginning stages of seeking. It is however a tragedy to me that so many people think that they become too good for those churches and don’t continue on to serve the new seekers that come in after them.
Also the blessed and God anointed “teacher” on the screen might be called “pastor” but they are not necessarily the shepherding pastor of that church or the church site. Everyone wants a piece of a person on the stage that does the teaching for the masses, but that doesn’t mean that they’re actually the disciple her of that church, who ever said they were meant to be? Not the Bible. The Bible says there is a fivefold ministry, and the Bible talks about many many more gifts, the church is not just the main teachings pastor and he’s probably not Person God would want you to go to for weekly prayer and counseling, be that a 5000 person church or a 50 person church.
I go to an elder lead multi-site mega church, i’ve literally heard people complain that they don’t even know who the elders are, they don’t, unless they go to elder lead Healing Prayer or The church meetings that are held open but absolutely no one goes to.
Almost everyone thinks the main speaking pastors is the one that is over everything and to decide and do everything. Nope. That’s not even God‘s plan for one man to be over everything, he does work with the elders, but he is really the head pastor over the other teachers/pastors, he’s not the one doing the hiring as the “apostle” (CEO type pastor most modern churches have) over the different sites and elders, he is also not a prophet but if you’re at a seeker friendly church the person talking on Sunday’s might be an evangelist, and that’s not wrong. It’s just that churches place in the community.
You may also have prophets on prayer team or Deliverance ministers doing the actual discipling and shepherding as pastors ordained by degree but by God in small groups, counseling ministries, or no title at all. But they are not to go rogue. Scripture says disciples were at least sent out 2 by 2 and they stayed under an apostles protection.
My very nondenominational church is blessed with a shocking amount of unity. How? We all agree to let Christ be the one that leads and allow for God to be a God of order even if your gifts and call are not well understood. Sin is not an aspect of the diversity of the body of Christ, but actual, seemingly unreconcilable giftings, can and need to work together. It really boils down to love and respect, have a willingness to still work together in order.
If we are not being understood in our churches due to the modern lingo and current religious structures can’t we simply need to keep coming into agreement through scripture and not division with prideful fights like you need to prove some thing. Unity comes with humility.
All that said, God can call you out of a church, especially if you’re in need of discipleship or a season of becoming dependent on him by faith, but keep your ears open for if he ever calls you back in.

I don't believe it was "revival". Look up Strong's concordance. The word revival is not anywhere in the kj bible. Most or some of what happened at Pensecola would likely to have been refreshing in the Holy Ghost and blessing in response by God to the faithful prayers of a few, but unfortunately much of it was overly extreme as far as bodily twitching and shaking and other extremely weird things which were NOT the Holy Spirit. The very fact that it was aggrandized and largely revolved around 3 or 4 men gives red flags.

Do you feel Danial in Danial 10 is also overly exaggerating as it describes Daniel trembling and not being able to stand up in the presence of the Lord? Would you have been in the crowd mocking David for dancing nearly nude before the Lord? In Jerusalem would you have accused the disciples of being drunk? When Ezekiel the prophet dramatically ate food cooked over dung as he publicly laid out to describe how the Lord felt, would you have called him a false prophet as you prophesied that your Lord would never tell some to do such a thing? I feel as if I’m being overly blunt, but I don’t think most false prophets realize that they are saying the Lord wants things to look a certain way when that is not how the Lord does things or what he is saying, in fact most people operating as false prophets typically claim people can’t hear clearly from the Lord anymore, and they claim that as if they are speaking for the Lord himself. If you truly don’t know what you’re seeing or how to feel, then admit that you clearly don’t know what you’re seeing or how to feel. Let’s say you do see someone manifesting in a twitching manner that you know by discernment is not of God, that’s not to say that the fact that they manifested is not of God, nothing torture is a demon more than being in the presence of the Holy Spirit or near someone who is ministering to the host persons soul. I don’t claim to be an expert, but even in the Bible Jesus was around people in the temple who manifested, but then Jesus set them free. I think we forgotten that part of the great commission (Mark 16) is to cast out demons and by the laying on of hands make sick people well.
So father God, it says in Scripture that you hear the prayers of a righteous man, we are not righteous by our own work, we are righteous by the work that Jesus did on the cross, we repent of our sins and submit and surrender to you God who is only God who sent your son Jesus and now fills us with the Holy Spirit. I pray any demonic spirits, especially religious spirits, Pharisee like spirits, and false prophet spirits that are holding us back from the levels of ministry God has called us to come out now in the name of Jesus by the power of his blood as it says in Isaiah 53 “by his stripes we are healed.” All demons must go, you’ve been called out, now come out, be bound, go where Jesus is sending you, and never come back. Holy Spirit let your tangible presence be felt, and bring about the gifts of wisdom, angelic tongues, and discernment at new levels of understanding. help us to hunger and thirst for righteousness and renewing of the mind daily with scripture and prayer. Let the revival start with us, let it start within our homes, Let us never call your work and your way strange because it doesn’t line up with our wisdom and our way. Amen!

I can be very blunt too. Especially when it comes to fools. Daniel may have trembled in the fear of God. But not how you make it out to be as though he was trembling & shaking uncontrollably. And the Acts event, where they were thought by the unlearned and uninitiated to be "full of new wine". Peter made it clear that they could not be "drunken", as it was the third hour of the day. The enemy loves to attack and demise Acts 2:2-13. There is there in above text no one rolling around or falling under the power or doing any of their wild religious antics to be seen of men. No, the account was they were all speaking "with other tongues" (verse 4)"the wonderful works of God" (verse 11). To make up lies because a few said mockingly they are "full of new wine" to try to justify acting like clowns and weirdos and spazzos that makes God look weird, is the lie straight from the serpent's mouth. Jesus said seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, not for signs, wonders and manifestations. See Matthew 6:33KJV. If you need a sign or physical sensation or being slain in the spirit nonsense to be convinced of God, your faith is a fake faith.

This "revival" looks like it needs an exorcism, these people are acting like the people Jesus cast demons out of;

First of all, let's address your misguided notion that there's no place for supernatural signs. Jesus was directing that (your earlier comment) at the Pharisees who demanded a sign. They would be given no sign except for the resurrection. But supernatural signs played an important role in the early church to those who weren't necessarily seeking signs. That's why the believers prayed for God to work signs and wonders in Acts 4:30. This prayer was answered in Acts 5:12. Jesus told us in Mark 16:17,18 that signs would follow believers, so we should expect signs today wherever believers proclaim Jesus.
Now to your latest comments.
*"The glory of the Lord descended".* Of course God is omnipresent, but that doesn't mean that His glory isn't manifested in a more pronounced way from time to time. At the dedication of the temple in the OT the priests couldn't stand to minister because of the cloud. On the mount of transfiguration Peter, James, and John hit the ground after a cloud enveloped them and God spoke. Then there was the Holy of Holies in the temple, the burning bush that Moses saw, the cloven tongues of fire that descended on the disciples in Acts 2 .... etc. None of those incidents violates the doctrine of God's omnipresence do they?
*The Beatitudes* "The poor in spirit". Brownsville was in a poor section of Pensacola. A lot of the converts were drug addicts, bikers, prostitutes .... etc. They were blessed by this move of God where they felt accepted by the church despite their rough edges. "Those who mourn". In many services you can hear people crying out to God and weeping over their sins. "The meek". Meek means teachable. These people had to put aside their preconceived ideas about revival and the move of the Spirit in order to see a harvest of souls into The Kingdom. They were teachable.
*Decently and in order.* There was no nudity, profanity, or vulgarity in any of the videos I've seen, so I don't see how the revival was indecent. And I don't see people creating confusion through the gifts of the Spirit as Paul was addressing in I Cor. 14. Remember, the guy who wrote that book said that his presentation of the gospel was in the demonstration of the Spirit and power. (I Cor. 2:4) So when Paul talked about "decently and in order" he wasn't talking about a weak, clinical presentation of the gospel. He was just talking about doing things in a way that edified others rather than promoting yourself through spiritual gifts. When I watch these revival videos I see people being edified. Sure, there was a little fanaticism from time to time, but that happens in every revival as you will see by reading about the revivals of Whitfield and Wesley. And yet somehow God was able to remain on His throne.
People who expect God to move in a way that doesn't produce any manifestations of human imperfections need to read the gospels. Jesus had a pretty messed up group. James and John wanted to call down fire from heaven on Samaria, and sought a seat next to Jesus in His Kingdom. Peter denied Him three times. Thomas doubted His resurrection. Judas betrayed Him. Matthew was a despised tax collector. And yet somehow Jesus was able to work through all of that mess and build His church over the past two thousand years, and we are living proof of that.

Jew and Greek, go back and read the entire passages. This 'signs and wonders' was given to the remaining 11 apostles and their followers, the seventy. Nowhere in Scripture does it say it was given to you.

Jew and Greek, read the entire book of 1 Corinthians. This book describes the 'carnal church' and their silly antics, such as 'speaking in tongues'/glossolalia, prophesies, erratic behavior, etc. Scripture is very clear on these things, and they no longer exist.
Scripture is also very clear how God wants His people to act, as pointed out above. I can find no support for this erratic behavior in Scripture.
1 John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
Jesus never acted in such ways, He never spoke in tongues, He never prophesied incorrectly, He never acted erratically. Jesus was as described above in The Beatitudes, and The fruits of The Spirit, and 1 Corinthians 14:33,40.
If, we are to act the way these people do in this video, then why do they only act this way at church? Why not at work? Why not while doing the dishes? Why not at a movie theater? Why not in at the mall?
NO! God want His people to act properly.

redsunn21 Steve was a close friend and mentor. Spent 13 years with him. I can assure you he was one of the most honorable, honest and humble men I've ever met. More than that, I could offer thousands of names of people he influenced positively and are making impacts around the world.
Steve passed away March 2014. No doubt history will remember him along side other great men of God.
I'd encourage you to look up several of his messages on RUclips.
