Thank you so much for putting this together. It's a great wake up stretch. I need to get into a better routine and hopefully this can become a helpful part of a more healthy day.
Wonderful Kalyani! That is great to hear :) Feeling energy during and after the exercises is a great sign. It means that you are being mindful, focusing well, and making a mind-body connection. This is important not just for how we feel mentally, but it affects the way our bodies work! One of the energy principles states that Mind leads energy, energy leads blood flow, and blood flow leads physical change. So when you feel energy, it means you are activating this cycle. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Master David! Going back to physical work has started to feel exhausting all over the body. Mornings are the toughest! This is very much helpful. I feel awake and ready to conquer the day!
looking forward to starting this Exercise i’m 67 hopefully i will be able to wake up muscles and increase my breathing. it looks very easy i like the fact you don’t have to do each stretch for a long time
That's great Melvena! Yes, you can start at your own level. Strengthen and stretch your muscles each day and I think you'll definitely see some improvement :)
Beautiful routine David. Thanks for sharing. Ki Gong literally changed my life. Learning to sensitize your brain to your body really is empowering and changes ones whole perspective on life. Be well and keep shining my friend. :)
Bahngapsumnida master David, this is a great, short series of exercises to wake up my body in the morning. Ideal for those mornings where I don't have time for a full morning practise. Thanks for your guidance. Gahmsahamnida from Belgium, Elke
Love it! Thanks so much. This is my first time doing it and I already felt the warmth in my palm. I'm curious what's written on the back wall of your studio? I read Mandarin but not this particular type of calligraphy. Is this 天地之气?or 天地之合?Many thanks - as a Mandarin speaker, I couldn't help wondering.
Wonderful! I’m happy to find your channel! Very helpful in this stressful situation in Ukraine! Чудово! Радію, що натрапила на ваш канал! Дуже допомагає зберегти здоровий глузд у цьому жасі в Украіні!
Charlatan... people, seriously, if you are starting qigong (pronounced CHEE-gong - Ki is Japanese, Qi or Chi is Chinese) do NOT EVER hit your chest this hard. This does damage. Don't ever stick the chest out when doing any of these. You have a responsibility when giving out health advice and you are teaching people to create more stress in the heart with doing these postures wrong.
Thanks for your concern. Just FYI- we pronounce it KEE-gong because these exercises come from a Korean practice, rather than Chinese. Ki is how it's pronounced in Korean (not just Japanese). But, really, either "Ki" or "Chee" is fine. As for the tapping, it makes sense you wouldn't want to tap too hard. We usually recommend people start gently and feel how their body responds. But the idea that this somehow does damage is incorrect. Regarding sticking out the chest, these are specifically for stretching rather than energy accumulation, hence the usefulness of more extended postures. They won't create 'more stress in the heart' compared to regular stretching exercises. For a more straightforward qigong accumulation or circulation form, we always recommend keeping the chest and shoulders relaxed.
@@BodyNBrain You don't mention any of this in your video and it took a month to respond. What I talked about is basic knowledge you learn on the first day of class. And for you to not know that it does damage means you don't fully know the body. Just because you have a RUclips channel with a few followers doesn't give you any sort of accreditation to say that it doesn't do any harm. To say that you are not working on energy accumulation is not the point. Qigong's translation is "Energy Work". So if you stick out the chest, you are teaching your body how to kink the energy and have it get stuck in your chest, this is bad at anytime of the day, but even worse in the morning for the elderly because they need to not shock the system when waking up. And it's spelled Qigong because that's the Romanization from Chinese. Qi and Chi are the same word. You can spell it Chigong as well, it's just widely accepted as Qigong instead. You wouldn't say Tai Kee.
Thank you so much for putting this together. It's a great wake up stretch. I need to get into a better routine and hopefully this can become a helpful part of a more healthy day.
Glad to hear it's useful Jim! Making a better daily routine is a great choice, best of luck to you!
