actually for me at least i love drawing roses! i have a more stylized way of drawing them and a more realistic way of drawing them. theyre actually pretty easy to draw once you learn how and can be fun to draw as well! (i doodle my stylized rose a lot when i’m bored in things like school paper and stuff)ofcourse it’s all up to style and preference and other stuff but oh boi i certainly agree kissing uhh i guess i’m more not comfortable and perspective i’m still a noob at lol

I think what makes the faces in the kiss feel off is that their foreheads are too close together so even with the tilt it looks like his nose is piercing through her cheek I think practicing head angles and looking at pictures of people kissing and tracing over those will help a lot That’s how I learned it at least Edit: also kissing mouths look way smaller than you may think. I’ve fallen into that trap many times and wondered why it didn’t look right

First I wanna say, Welcome back. Next I wanna say, it’s good to see you’re starting the new year by doing new things, and I totally understand the struggles. If you ever need a word to help you when you’re feeling down, let me say this. We all try our best to train where we lack. We improve what we already have, and we start out what we are once afraid to do. It’s only a matter of being willing to take that first step. It’s gonna hit back, and it’s gonna hit hard. But it’s not about how hard we hit, it’s about how hard we get hit and decide if we should stay down or keep getting back up. It also doesn’t hurt to find some help if we feel like we absolutely need it. Especially if we need an expert to show us the best methods.

What I struggle with drawing is wings. I have two OCs with wings, and it’s hard to draw them open or folding up a little. It’s a lot easier to just draw them folded and call it a day. Had to trace a base so I could better understand the wing concept lol.
1:19 As someone who is considered a visual learner, this is so true! My mind always bungles up whenever I read instructions on certain activities, haha.

Seeing how good your art is (even for things you don't draw much) always motivates me to improve my own art. I've always enjoyed drawing, but I only recently started taking it more seriously so I'm a bit behind on my skills 😅 I'm also working on getting in the habit of drawing more often and not procrastinating so much. That's the biggest reason I'm not improving as much as I'd like

here's a tip for environments and buildings and such download the Sims 4. It's free, and you can build your character's home however you want, obv with limited objects but it has such a massive impact on your visual memory, makes drawing backgrounds much nicer bc you have a picture of the space, and can even help with character backstories/ worldbuilding. It was a gamechanger for me, and I've been building homes for my OCs and making them as Sims as well and it's been a great time

Another tip for the kissing (I found it on Pinterest really helpful resources) make a heart shape and that can help you with the shape of the heads. The heart can be a little wonky but it works!! You can go to your kissing drawing and outline the head shapes! It’ll make a heart! Or just a kissing reference. I hope this helped!! Your a wonderful artist

I am surprised, but pleased, that you’ve heard of Ethan. In my opinion he’s your exact opposite when it comes to video genre, editing style, personality, art style, all the lot. So I find it cool that you’ve heard of someone on the exact opposite end of the YT Art spectrum :)
