    The GNR had some of the best express engines. We’re lucky to have the chain of their express locos in preservation, from the Stirling Single to Henry Oakley to Flying Scotsman (even though that was built just after the grouping).

    Just shows how far the whole country has been allowed to fall into decrepitude. Almost nothing worthy of comment has been built since the 1830s.
