I found that it folded too easily and dumped the kayak if you were to hit something. So I took a spare 2x4 and a conduit clamp and blocked it off from folding. You also have to be careful with tightening ratchet straps too much, so I use just the strap parts and do something like a truckers hitch to tie it on.
