Mac was obviously a true friend of Jimmys. His emotions have been so apparent and he’s not grandstanding. He’s always been just a real great, down to earth guy.
I haven’t reacted to a celebrity’s death like I have to JB. Cried like a baby and listening all his music. Been a fan since 1974 and felt like I knew him. Mac, you are wonderful friend and performer. Found your music around 1980. Keep the ride going!

Yet Mac knew and was a close friend of Jimmy's, just don't know he could hold together doing this, but just a lovely , touching tribute to the loss of someone who was far more than the man behind the music, just read the ongoing legion of tributes. I don’t know if it’s Mac that can do it but I would love to see him “keep the band together” and keep touring. For many years it’s simply been annual reunions of The Parrothead Nation.
So glad you put this up, some of us just can’t get enough and your quality is better than most! I was aware of Mac all these years w/the band and of his individual musical talents but the videos of Jimmy’s concerts of the past year, and these performances it appears he’s really stepping up (?) -good for him! I’m not suggesting he’s a 30+ yr ‘overnight’ sensation lol just glad he’s taking us forward respecting the music we know & love. Sympathies to Buffett family, band, friends & fans 🌴

I met Mac in 1986 sitting at the bar in Tony’s Saloon. You couldn’t ask to meet a more gracious and personable person.
