My best friend sent this to me and it warmed my heart because she grew up (and still is) in an abusive household and she’d cry a lot. The toughest part has passed but I’m not gonna lie and say it’s not hard for her anymore because it still is. She wouldn’t open up to any of her friends including me until one day after school she came over because her dad beat her last night and she was too scared to go home and she just cried on me but that was what helped the most I think, just letting it all out without fear of getting judged.

The fact that you know you don't have a best friend. It makes you feel terrible, but on the other hand you are happy for people who do.
