We love this, thank you Kevin! Just a reminder to our river adventurers: rafting and kayaking is best in the spring with higher waters, and tubing is only safe later in the summer once the water level drops below roughly 400 cubic feet per second. Stop by the Visitor Center on Hot Springs Boulevard if you're not sure if it's time to float yet :)
It's exciting to see a tourism video on Pagosa. However, why!! would you feature the Sand Dunes 4 hours away when there are SO many more things to feature and do around Pagosa Springs? I don't get it.
Examples: Hike the Continental Divide Trail at the top of Wolf Creek Pass, hike/bike/ski/camp the Turkey Springs Wilderness, Coyote Trail, Piedra Canyon Hike and Rock Climbing, Williams Lake and a myriad of high altitude hikes short enough for day hikes or long adventure, climb Mt. Pagosa in one day up to 12000 ft. Visit undeveloped hot springs on the Piedra River and Rainbow hot springs. Mountain Bike trails. Four Mile Trail to waterfalls. If you come back, let me show you around. :)
Is there anything else to do than hiking? We usually go to Sevierville TN because of the town Gatlinburg. There are lots of stores lining the Main Street with tons of restaurants. That is really what we like to do.
@@nebbarnes3404 There are some, but Pagosa is remote and does not get the volume of visitors that Gatlinburg gets from being in such a heavily populated area. The hot springs are awesome, even better in winter in the snow. The sky is super dark and clear at night. It is a true "small town". It is a great place but nothing like Gatlinburg.
@@lizzard71 thank you. I don't mind there being less stores but a few would be nice and restaurants too. We will be there with elderly parents so they wouldn't want to do too much walking around. :)
hey. i know off topic of video. every visit manitou springs? and good spots / springs/waterfalls? love your videos btw! we killed 29029 after seeing your video. thanks!
@@kevinwillis4341 every month has different things! Winter for skiing and snowboarding (there’s a resort close to The Springs Resort). Summer if you want to backpack or hike, and fall if you want to go leaf peeping!
Note: The Springs resort is NOT part of the springs geothermal pools. They are separate entities. Some of the pools are not accessible to the general public unless you’re staying at the Resort.
They are one in the same. If you get a day pass for The Springs Resort it includes 20 geothermal pools, with the option to also add the Relaxation Terrace package which gives you access to an additional 5 geothermal pools. As for hotel guests at The Springs Resort, all 25 pools are included. Hope this info helps clear it up!
This video sucks it’s just some guy bragging about how much he traveled. Wish he would focus more on travel tips instead of bragging and trying to make himself feel cool.
Sorry you didn't like it, just wanting to give people a travel guide for the best things to do in Pagosa Springs. I like to think that there are tips included throughout the video

I've have lived in Pagosa Springs and have lived near Gatlinburg (the Morristown area). They have nothing in common.
@@lizzard71 so there are no touristy shops at all? I just like walking around and looking in the shops.

If staying at the resort is all the pools and springs included in stay
Yes they are! And actually when you’re an overnight guest you get access to additional VIP pools and 24/7 soaking!
