Hi Brett, thanks for the vid. I am looking to buy a fat bike. I commute and shop with my bike at home. And want a go anywhere bike. Have you ridden a plus bike like 29 x 3.0 or 27.5 x 2.8? If so, over all would you go fat or plus for an all purpose machine? I hardly ride on tarmac, mainly hard pack, mud (I live in the UK, lots of mud) and single track and mountain trails in the UK. Cheers Tom
Hey tablatom, Colt here. For your purposes a mid-fat is probably ideal. Fat bikes are usually used as pretty specific tools. Something like the Kona Big Honzo is a total quiver killer
@@coltfetters7149 I ended up building a 2017 Salsa Mukluk. I am addicted to riding it. Also bought a Felt DD70 going cheap. Love both of them. With a 4.8 Jumbo Jim in the rear, fat bikes roll really fast.
Shame they dont make it anymore
everyday peoplep, exploring alternativne terrains. rough packing on a big fat dummy. equipped to carry ali the necessities.
Heck yeah!

I'm a big fan of mid fat, meaning 29x3 or 27.5x3. Fat bikes are great for riding through alternate terrains like sand and snow.
