If they played Sword and Shield, idk of Dan would have a blast seeing all the new and old Pokemon or experience sensory overload He'd definitely get a kick out of Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash
Yeah. Actually, batteries were described in principle as early as 1748, by Benjamin Franklin, who coined the term. And they were invented in practice in 1800 by Alessandro Volta, from whom the term Volt derives. The first "mass usage" battery was produced by British engineer John Daniell, to power telegraph networks, and by the turn to the 20th century there were already a number of more modern battery designs using paste electrolytes rather than liquid, which would have made them useful for portable applications. Such as, for instance, a "horseless carriage" or "personal electrical conveyance" as invented and displayed by Gustave Trouvé in 1881 - 5 years before Karl Benz created the first gasoline-powered car. In short, great-gram very well might have had suspicious, buzzing packages. Be careful when going looking for toys in the attic. You never know what shit you might find...
I feel that, people are like" the first 151 pokemon ar the most original", but they forget 3 of them are blobs and 2 of them are circles with faces. not even going into the pokemon that are basically the same thing, but have a slightly different idea like caterpie's and weedle's evolutions. Nindoran boy/girl are basically the same thing but one is more rounder and the other is more angular. Digilet basically evolves into three of himself. Exeggsecute is a bunch of egg seeds. Staryu and starmie are basically the same pokemon, but with a different color and more points. In fact, there are a ton of pokemon that are basically the same, but given horns to differentiate the evolution( ponyta/ rapidash, olminite/olmastar, zubat gains eyes and size with his evolution). dodrio is basically doduo with some new feathers and an extra head. I could go on!!
@@brenninoliphant People don't just refer to Kanto as the original though, they repeatedly refer to them as the "best" design-wise. You see people constantly shitting on mons like Garboder Stunfisk but I find both of those Mons 1000x more creative than Voltorb/Electrode, Grimer/Muk. If people only referred to Gen1 as original, that would be fine, but Genwunners feel the need to go out of their way to pretend every Pokemon from Kanto is a masterpiece, ignoring the fact that EVERY gen has some duds, and Kanto has significantly more duds than any other generation.
Oh man, FireRed was a journey. Arin got sick, Dan got sick, they went to a con, they lost the save file and had to spend like half a year getting back to where they were off camera. It was like the universe itself was trying to stop them from beating it.
For the first gen starters I've always been like: "I like Bulbasaur, Wartortle and Charizard 'cuz I'm not a big fan of Ivysaur/Charmeleon designs (+ Squirtle's pretty cute, but....I prefer Piplup; Charmander - i..drk)
they use the best designs they had first. the designs are more cohesive, not just random stripes flats spikes and hands, fuckinf hate that mega Man Pokemon
"Did you just extinguish that horse?"

He'd definitely get a kick out of Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash
Cotton candy ponies! 😍
I would adore seeing Dan's reaction to Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash.
Then realizing they’re not fire type.. Dans brain might blow a fuse
If their Sun playthrough is anything to go, sensory overload sounds about right. He did say they look cuter in 3D
I have been WAITING for weepinbell. Dan has the funniest reaction to it ever. Weepinbell is an absolute monstrosity.
We here boys, more Pokemon, more Dan contemplating reality.

"We'd have a Pokémon that was ribbed for your pleasure."
Do you mean Palkia?
I'm sorry.
Now that I think about it, you're right. Thank you. I hate that mental image, and I hate this comment.
You shouldn’t be sorry for speaking truth to power
Dan's reaction is either "Aw, who's this? Aw he's awesome/adorable, I love him!" or "What the fuck is THAT. I hate him, I'm terrified"
Seeing someone without the Gen1 nostalgia goggles react to Pokémon is so beautiful.
I wonder if Dan ever saw Galarian Rapidash, he would love it.

Wow that's long. You should google the definition of original. Should clear up the confusion on why Gen 1 Pokémon are referred to as original.
@@brenninoliphant I mean original in terms of design, not that they were first to come out.

@@MrsIggyKirkland If anything, sapphire, ruby, and emerald had the best pokemon designs

"when were batteries invented" Answer: 1800's
1:10
Blupl: Whoooaaa, it's a Venomoth!
6:47 to 7:44 makes me laugh every damn time.
Wartortle is the best form from the Squirtle line, and I like Klefki. If anyone wants to fight about this, just know that my opinions will not change.
Well I can at least try, meet me at the parking lot at midnight and we can fight about it
One of my favorite pokemon is Mr. Mime

Yeah, i wish Blastoise kept the tail thing but bigger like several tail curls behind him like a butt cape or something.
I see you are a person of taste👌👌 Wartortle and Klefki are some of my favorites as well.
Batter’s were invented in the 1800’s
Battery’s......(lol)
@@deadslacker8404 batteries* haha
As a southerner I'm hurt at the disregard of sweet tea 😢🥺
Aww I wish Dan could see the galarian version of Ponyta
wonder what dan's reaction to galarian rapidash would be
Who's that Pokémon in the Thumbnail. No no not Mr Mime the other one 😂. I'll see my way out 🥲
That's a Pumbloom
Batteries were invented in 1800 btw
Wartortle always confused me as a kid until i found out what a minogame is.
Jesus Christ weepingbell!
Where did their charizard go?
They accedentally made it forget flamethrower and put charizard in a box
We need a starbomb cover of the poke-rap
I trashed people with prankster klefki
they use the best designs they had first. the designs are more cohesive, not just random stripes flats spikes and hands, fuckinf hate that mega Man Pokemon
I agree, for me it's just as much the art design as it is the ideas behind the Pokemon themselves. They just don't seem. . . right somehow?
Gen 1 also had stupid and mediocre designs too, tho
*JJEESUS Christ weepinbell*
