I really like your innovative methods (music performances, era's of music, video games, movies) to refill-the-well concept. I teach Middle School and High School Strings and I find it difficult to find an innovative way to recharge my batteries. My family and I will listen to a "Complete Beautiful Music Playlist" during dinner time including Leopold Mozart, Fernandor Sor guitar, Giuliani guitar, John Dowland lute, Anonymous IV Chant, Hildegard von Bingen, etc, and more that help me feel inspired to love music and all of the eras it encompasses even more. Thank you for your videos. They are uplifting, oh and I am a violist so kudos to viola playing!
I love the idea of a "Complete Beautiful Music Playlist" during dinner! I struggle to find ways to listen to music regularly (I think because it's what I do, I don't listen to it often), and curating a playlist during meals is such a clever way of getting that culture in! Also how great you're exposing your family to the badassery of Hildegard von Bingen!!? Thank you so much for sharing your strategies and for your kind words!
completely agree with all of your tips Alice !! i also like making my practice space as cosy as possible - fairy lights, hot tea/a snack, scenyed candles. and i would be utterly lost without my practice journal !! :) x
Oooh yes cozy is great! I love having a cup of tea nearby and a candle. And I love that you use a practice journal! I don't utilize one regularly but I have an audition coming up so I may need to get into the habit of it!
