Thank God it mentions the different backgrounds of the locals. Economically, it mentions the central highway, mining of iron, forestry, and agricultural. This video is in the Public Domain. I like this short movie of Cuba during the 1950's as the movie somewhat reflects similar social activities in South Vietnam until the North Vietnamese communist took over the South Vietnam in 1975; the facts are based from the old folks who have lived through the good and happy times, and the time until now when communism and one-party system are in control of the country.

Similar to South Vietnam, like, being in the top 30 economies of the world? The agricultural and industrial infrastructures, exporting millions of dollars in goods to the United States, most of Europe, and Africa? Or perhaps the vanguards of new technology, like railroads, farming equipment, radio stations and electric plants, available and affordable?
No. I don’t see any similarity to Vietnam. There never was a country so wealthy, so orderly, so structured, that fell into the hands of a fake communist revolution, promising “freedom” and “democracy”? It was a sham - a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a vampire draining the blood of an innocent being, not “egalitarianism”.
Read books. Re-educate yourself. Get to know the accomplishments of the Cuban people, totally incomparable to the swampy water and impoverished misery of the Vietnamese.

Very sad to watch this movie. I would like for the pro Castro folks to explain why the Cuban economy has failed when the country trades with all countries in the world except the U.S. Also would like to hear why thousands of people have lost their lives trying to escape the island. And please no insults, just reasonable explanations, if there is one.

Why the economy has failed? Do you know what a Chupacabra is? Yes, a vampire. That was Castro’s legacy to Cuba.
In no more than a week, every business, industry, boutique, and farmer, was left penniless and without a home. Everything was confiscated.
The “no trade with the US” and “stop the embargo” 65-year-old slogan is bullshit. It resembles a communist, centralized economy, when in fact, it’s a fascist dictatorship with its hobnail boot thrashing the head of every Cuban.
Look, i’m not gonna bother educating Americans anymore on the reality of Cuba. If they want to believe that, in fact, it’s a tropical paradise, screw them. God has his ways of punishing people.

Cuba during Batista Dictature, before the Socialist Castro People`s Democracy...

You’re wrong. This short was made in 1950. Batista was in Daytona Beach, Prío Socarrás was President, and above all, there never was a “Socialist Castro People’s Democracy”. It’s a denigrating contradiction , a fantasy, a a nice story for the hip folks in the sunny tropical island.
As I told someone else, don’t be ignorant. Read history. Educate yourself. You know the internet? There are dozens of Cuban book stores in Miami, and they all sell online, in Spanish and in English.
