I don’t think as a female trio that Wilson Philips could be beaten by anybody (Exposé came close) on hamonizing. Kelly has a great ear for harmonies, but not even her could blend her voice that perfectly with the WP ladies...
She did, Kelly can sing her Ass off and out sing any of those women. I was a HUGE fan of WP back in the day, still am, but what and how they sing isn't Kelly. Those three were like pure young flowers that unexpectedly grew out of the privelege, rot, and debauchery that surrounded them in California show business. Instead of any sort of look-at-me or hard or glamorous act, they came offering this earnest, generous message for all of us.
