      im not sure how new the product is but it seems like there are a couple of bugs for the company to work out.

    Another good video, although I do have questions about the product. On their website, they claim these pouch cells have been tested rigorously and are 35-50% lighter, per watt-hour of storage, than LiFePO4. I don't doubt that claim, but I couldn't find any information regarding how many charge cycles you get to 80% DoD. I like that it has a self-heating function, making it safe to charge in virtually any ambient temperature, and it's cool how many you can link together, using their "conjunction" device. For the amount of storage and inverter capacity, the price is about right. It looks like it would be a really good option for folks who want those specs in the lightest weight unit possible. I wouldn't even consider this for a sizable home backup solution, though...the really need to design an expansion battery that is JUST an expansion battery. It's 5.2kg, or around 11.5lbs, lighter than the Pecron E2000LFP, although the Pecron is $300 cheaper and the LFP cells are going to last 2-3 times longer, typically.

    I have the most views on small wind turbines on You Tube. About 5 million views total. I bet that thing would be popular on my using it with my turbine builds.

      @BradCagle  4 месяца назад

      Yeah, it says you can use a wind turbine. That's one thing I've been wanting to play with, a wind turbine. Researching it, seems most are fake/scam units LOL. I've watched some of your wind videos, looks like you've found some good units. Thanks!

      @@BradCagle I have a stock pile of them, 400 to 1000 watt. Name your poison! If they send me one, I would be the guy with wind power hitting it! I doubt they will though LOL!

    semi solid lithium ion, although not specified in the product listing, that i can find, to my knowledge, semi-solid battery tech is still based on NMC chemistry,
    i watched a video by @WillProwse who decided to damage one of these semi solid state batteries and, well go watch for yourself, but it did what typical NMC batteries do.
    the lighter weight for given capacity also indicates that it is not LFP based, which is what most of us consider safer in our homes than NMC batteries.
    appreciate the look at this unit Brad, if you have any issues with it in the future, should you decide to keep it, please keep us updated on the details. thanks.

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  5 месяцев назад +1

      Right, I'm pretty sure the battery tech in this unit is not LFP based. A section on their site states semi-solid li-ion has a higher energy density than LiFePO4, so I draw the conclusion that it is not LFP. I'll look for Will's video, now that you mention It does sound familiar. I think I might keep this one around to continue using/testing, and I will certainly keep you guys updated! Thanks :)

      Thanks, Bud! Not that I can see, I'm guessing you would have to do that through the app, which we don't have ATM. I'll try to do an update if/when I get an app.

    1700Wh is a long way short of the 2008Wh claimed. A few bugs to sort out with the display and the app. The lightness is a good thing though. Maybe something to re-review in 6 months?

      Yeah, I think i'll keep this around, and use it when I can. Seems like many commenting are interested long term use, and a follow up. So for sure hopefully they get an app out, and maybe I can get them to fix some of the quirks, seems like a simple firmware fix would get everything polished. Thanks Ben!

    QUESTION: After battery is depleted, once battery has sufficient charge, can it AUTOMATICALLY, without any user intervention (local or remote), turn on the AC OUTLETS so everything that was running prior to battery out, can restart on their own???

      Yes I've never heard of this battery technology. I'm happier having LiFeP04 in my house personally for safety reasons. Lithium ion makes me nervous.
