beautiful cover! can you please tell me what the technique of playing the intro of this song is called?

The intro of the song plays one normal strum down on the chords, and then you arpeggiate upwards. So the technique is called "Arpeggiating" or you would say "Arpeggiating Chords"

great stuff! how exactly did you get the tone? imo it's perfect

Thanks! This is a preset I made on my Quad Cortex, but as long as you have something that gives you distortion that's fine. I send my Quad Cortex to my audio interface and record directly into the computer, so there are no amps or mics involved.
I use the bridge pickup with the tone and volume knob set to max for the distorted guitar, and then the neck pickup with tone and volume set to max for clean stuff as well.
I use an EQ afterwards where I high-pass at somewhere around 100-200hz. Then I boost with a slight slope at around 3k giving some boost to around 2-5k hz for some harshness.
But most importantly is that the guitar is double tracked. I record the guitar twice and then pan the guitar hard left and right. So there are two guitars playing the exact same thing which makes the tone sound quite massive.

I guess Opie never died, he went simply to heart of the winter.
