I grew up in a Christian household. It's a regular thing for us to go to church and be involved in church activities but I've recently just seen my other tendencies to sin, my evil. Of course, there are those things that I feel convicted with before and had an idea of my tendency to sin but not as shocking as these things I'm discovering and admitting to myself I am like that, that I'm a perpetrator of such things. I just feel like I need to know all of my tendencies to sin to fully realize my evil before seeking repentance and truly considering myself "Christian". I know it's scary, I myself don't want that because I might be far from saving but I just feel like whenever I discover a part of me that's sided to do things He says are sin, it makes me feel like my faith that I've known throughout the years is false and that I'm not really saved, I'm not really pure, I feel far from being an "elect" who He knows will truly follow His voice. I don't know if I make sense to you but can you just please pray for me? Thank you so much.

What is more important than walking in obedience to God? He will blow your mind in the way he opens doors and provides for you with your obedience. The Holy Spirit is a gentlemen and will never force you to let go of your own pursuits, but my goodness does it feel good to put our entire trust in him. Replacing the phrase "food sacrificed to idols" with "animals" within the phrase EATING OF "food sacrificed to idols" yields EATING OF ANIMALS. Later in Revelation, the Lord warns again of these two sins, except this time he replaces the sin of "eating of food sacrificed to idols" with the sin of "murder." Observe, there is no mention of "eating of food sacrificed to idols" in the next two scriptures. Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, (1) the murderers, (2) the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars, they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. Jesus is precise in this warning; no discernment is required to understand this teaching. If you are unable to deny your lust, you will not be allowed into heaven. If you have attempted to overcome your lust, but have found it impossible to do so, there is a specific reason as to why you cannot. You must first stop committing an even worse sin, the sin of eating animals. If you continue to eat animals, you will not be able to deny the power of lust, for these two sins are yoked together, which is why Jesus warns of them together. This is not to say if you stop eating animals, you will no longer lust. But, if you truly have the desire to conquer your lust, then you must first stop eating animals. If you decide to stop eating animals so that you may begin the process of denying your lust, there is one other thing you must know if you are to be successful. Most Christians believe it is permissible to lust after their spouse. This is false, for lust is lust regardless of marital status. The adultery one commits when they have lustful thoughts is not against their spouse, it is against God. Lustful thoughts are impure thoughts, regardless of who one lusts after ix. 1 Timothy 4:1-5 The spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. Matthew 7:12-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. You have two roads to choose from. One road leads to everlasting life, and the other leads to destruction. Which road will you choose, the difficult road that only a few are willing to travel or the easy road that most prefer to take? Revelation 3:3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. x. John 15:26 When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning. Luke 11:23 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
@@peaceonearthpeaceonearth9686 Stop misconstruing what the Bible has to say, read acts 10:9-16 where the Lord shows Peter animals that were once considered unclean because of the Mosaic law, and TOLD him to eat of it and not to call anything impure that God has made clean. If it were a sin to eat animals or to kill animals for food then God would not have told Peter to eat of it. The Lord does not tell us to sin. Also, 1 Timothy 4: 1-5 literally contradicts your statement about eating animals, and clearly says specifically that those who follow things taught by demons will tell people "to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer." Be careful with how you use the Word of God, because we will be judged for every word we speak.
Also see 1 Corinthians 10:23-31, specifically talking about eating meat and not eating what is sacrificed to idols if the person who gave it to you knows that you know it was sacrificed to an idol for their conscience's sake. However, if you know that it has been sacrificed to an idol but the person who offers it to you does not know that you know, you may give thanks over it and eat it to the glory of God (verses 29-31).

It is naive to believe all of the the Bible is the Word of God, for Satan is the ruler of this world and God has given him much leeway so that we may be fully tested. I grew up in a Christian household. It's a regular thing for us to go to church and be involved in church activities but I've recently just seen my other tendencies to sin, my evil. Of course, there are those things that I feel convicted with before and had an idea of my tendency to sin but not as shocking as these things I'm discovering and admitting to myself I am like that, that I'm a perpetrator of such things.
I just feel like I need to know all of my tendencies to sin to fully realize my evil before seeking repentance and truly considering myself "Christian". I know it's scary, I myself don't want that because I might be far from saving but I just feel like whenever I discover a part of me that's sided to do things He says are sin, it makes me feel like my faith that I've known throughout the years is false and that I'm not really saved, I'm not really pure, I feel far from being an "elect" who He knows will truly follow His voice.
I don't know if I make sense to you but can you just please pray for me? Thank you so much.

There are many people, even those who say they are Christians, who don't really believe that hell exists. If this is you, there is a philosophical reason as to why you should believe hell is real. If hell is real and if you do not believe what Jesus taught, on your judgment day you will lose everything. But, if hell does not exist, you will lose nothing. Instead, you will have simply lived a better life. Therefore, if you believe there is even the slightest chance the teachings of Jesus are true, would it not be wise to listen to him?
Do I know if I am going to heaven? No, I do not. I believe it is impossible for anyone to know until they are there. But, one thing I do know is that one cannot expect to go to heaven if they willfully sin. This is what Jesus taught. The following scriptures prove this beyond any doubt. You cannot willfully sin and expect to go to heaven. This is the truth. Read and see for yourself.

Jesus taught love, forgiveness, charity and morality, all of which come from our heart, and it is our heart that will lead us to everlasting life. Listen to your heart.
John 16:12-16 I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. If you destroy God's creation, then God says he will destroy you. Animals are one of God's most precious creations on this earth.
Matthew 18:3 Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Little children love and adore animals. A young child would never knowingly harm an animal, for their hearts are pure and innocent.
Revelation 2:4-5 You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
The love you had at first is the love you had as a little child.
Isaiah 11:6-9 The wolf will live with the lamb. The leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf, the lion and the yearling, and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Observe, the order of these two sins has been reversed.
Sexual immorality is everywhere in today's society, but the sacrificing of animals to idols is virtually non-existent. So, why would Jesus warn about the eating of food sacrificed to idols in an end-times prophecy? What does this mean? And, why did Jesus say eating of food sacrificed to idols instead of eating of animals sacrificed to idols?
The reason the Lord said eating of food sacrificed to idols instead of eating of animals sacrificed to idols is because he is intentionally being obscure. The phrase "food sacrificed to idols" means "animals," for only an animal can be sacrificed. Replacing the phrase "food sacrificed to idols" with "animals" within the phrase EATING OF "food sacrificed to idols" yields EATING OF ANIMALS.
Later in Revelation, the Lord warns again of these two sins, except this time he replaces the sin of "eating of food sacrificed to idols" with the sin of "murder." Observe, there is no mention of "eating of food sacrificed to idols" in the next two scriptures.
Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, (1) the murderers, (2) the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars, they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.
Revelation 22:15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, (2) the sexually immoral, (1) the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
Observe, the order of these two sins has been reversed again.
Observe, the order of these two sins in Revelation 2:14 lines up with 21:8, and Revelation 2:20 lines up with 22:15.
Do you see? Jesus is telling you that if you eat animals, you are a murderer.
Matthew 13:13-15 This is why I speak to them in parables: Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart has become calloused, they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.

Lust is the root cause of all sexual immorality.
Matthew 5:27-30 You have heard that it was said, "You shall not commit adultery." But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
Jesus is precise in this warning; no discernment is required to understand this teaching. If you are unable to deny your lust, you will not be allowed into heaven. If you have attempted to overcome your lust, but have found it impossible to do so, there is a specific reason as to why you cannot. You must first stop committing an even worse sin, the sin of eating animals.
If you continue to eat animals, you will not be able to deny the power of lust, for these two sins are yoked together, which is why Jesus warns of them together. This is not to say if you stop eating animals, you will no longer lust. But, if you truly have the desire to conquer your lust, then you must first stop eating animals.
If you decide to stop eating animals so that you may begin the process of denying your lust, there is one other thing you must know if you are to be successful. Most Christians believe it is permissible to lust after their spouse. This is false, for lust is lust regardless of marital status. The adultery one commits when they have lustful thoughts is not against their spouse, it is against God. Lustful thoughts are impure thoughts, regardless of who one lusts after

1 Timothy 4:1-5 The spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
Matthew 7:12-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
You have two roads to choose from. One road leads to everlasting life, and the other leads to destruction. Which road will you choose, the difficult road that only a few are willing to travel or the easy road that most prefer to take?
Revelation 3:3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

@@peaceonearthpeaceonearth9686 Stop misconstruing what the Bible has to say, read acts 10:9-16 where the Lord shows Peter animals that were once considered unclean because of the Mosaic law, and TOLD him to eat of it and not to call anything impure that God has made clean. If it were a sin to eat animals or to kill animals for food then God would not have told Peter to eat of it. The Lord does not tell us to sin. Also, 1 Timothy 4: 1-5 literally contradicts your statement about eating animals, and clearly says specifically that those who follow things taught by demons will tell people "to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer." Be careful with how you use the Word of God, because we will be judged for every word we speak.
Also see 1 Corinthians 10:23-31, specifically talking about eating meat and not eating what is sacrificed to idols if the person who gave it to you knows that you know it was sacrificed to an idol for their conscience's sake. However, if you know that it has been sacrificed to an idol but the person who offers it to you does not know that you know, you may give thanks over it and eat it to the glory of God (verses 29-31).
God tells us who will not go to heaven.

Just about everyone has lustful thoughts and just about everyone lies. If this is you, you had better stop or you will not be allowed into heaven.

It is naive to believe all of the the Bible is the Word of God, for Satan is the ruler of this world and God has given him much leeway so that we may be fully tested.
