Robert is Tyler's middle name and Tyler's first daughter is named Rosie Robert Joseph after him. Robert had dementia which is why Tyler says his eyes did not know him. 😢 I always like that the song feels like a celebration of his long life.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend checking out the UG Studios version of "Addict With A Pen" for an even more raw emotional experience that the album version can't quite reach.
