Lol, when you opened with how you were going to show us how you kept warm for free, I assumed you meant your dog kept your hands and feet warm! That's what I do! Terry, with all those stacks of wood, do you ever worry about carpenter ants or have such a thing in the UK? We would never put a pile of wood against the house or a building because our houses are made of wood and the ants don't know when to stop! ~ Sandra
Some good tips, Terry. I always wear two gloves. It's very unlikely that the chain would fail on that saw before the motor, but if it did, my right hand could get hit. And if you ever do a lot of cutting, the less vibration, the better. My two cents :) Cheers Jason and Colleen 🪓🪵🧤
Busy with DIY at the moment, but still managed to get a few videos done especially the Sifting of the compost through the fire guard. ♻️Happily keeping warm, Terry King.
I have ordered a multi-fuel burner which will be getting fitted on 27th September 2023. So, I have started my wood collection, and I am beginning to feel like a real hunter-gatherer. I also have two of these chainsaws, one for the car and one for the home. And it is very relaxing using the chainsaw...
Great tips about using the chainsaw it builds my confidence about trying one, they always look lethal to me, especially the big ones. Thanks Terry and take care
great savings there Tel, £130 a cube for hardwood thesedays round ere! I used to spend 8 weeks of the year doing logs when we were on wood only, got thru 24 cube a year! now on oil with the logburners for emergency, miss my tractor with hydraulic log splitter on it I'll tell you!
Hi Terry I fitted our multi fuel stove a few years ago, I collect all the wood from my customer’s gardens, never enough tho! I’ve got quite a bit already this year, I need another wood store.👍🏻🤠💪
I miss my Ben Franklin stove it slowly fell apart about 10 years ago no it's more like 20, instead of kindling I would use Vaseline on a cotton ball to get her up and running.
I just ordered one Terry but not that make, the one I'm getting uses the DeWalt batteries I already have. Also, great idea to use the washing up bottle for the oil, genius idea mate for something so simple.
My old work saw of 25 years old never even from new oiled properly as you may know the fuel should run out before oil, but the oil was always half full so I us the bottle to ensure the bar was always well oiled. ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.
Hi Danny, where did you get the wood from for your staging? It looks fab, want to do the same with my polytunnel. Lovely of Tony to help too. Thanks for sharing and take care 🙂
Great video, thanks for the update. I bought one a couple of weeks ago off the back of your first video. Haven't used it yet but looking forward to it. I need to get some oil. What kind of oil are you using? Take care, Poo
Great vid this❤ Question though , what is the blue 8 inch version that I see on Amazon? Is the black version not available in uk. Spec differences perhaps?
Excellent bit of kit Terry, do you know if the batteries are compatible with any others brands? Second question, what is that under the ash pan on your burner? I'm looking at solid fuel ranges / ovens/ cookers for my future plans 😤
Not sure with the seesi brand batteries and not sure what you meant by under the Ash pan? They are banning the sale of some burners very soon. ♻️Happily keeping warm, Terry King.

We don't get the carpenter ants so other than woodworm no issues.

Very enjoyable video Terry, great insight to logging and wood store. All the best there,

I tryed to cut the logs and split the while they were still green, helped the wood to split with an axe.

Those chainsaws really are great. Wish I had bought mine years ago

Get it while you can because lots of other people are rushing to get a log burner before some are banned.

Very useful for those little jobs.

That's a great update Terry. It looks like it's worth buying. I'm wary of our big chainsaw but I think I'd be okay using that.
I prefer the big saw, but the logistics of carrying it in my vehicle isn't good.

You do need chainsaw bar oil poo. It is sticky so it stays on the bar and chain for longer.

I was on call for emergency's which included fallen trees/branches, no longer do that, but I have over five ton stashed away from home.
