It’s insane that The Mandalorian made me feel 1000x more emotional during this scene than the sequel trilogy made me feel for the deaths of Han, Luke, and Leia combined
Thats the power of proper writing by Dave Filoni for you!
Grogu is probably the first one to touch Din's face since he lost his parents as a kid.
It was that fucking music. I cried in front of my boys, then cried in front of my mom on the rewatch. Maan
I cried in front of my mom and then my dad just now. It really was that fucking music.
Yeah they really pieced everything so well in this scene, the lighting, the music, Dins voice chocking up when he says, “he’s one of your kind.” They did a great job.
I really cried like a little bitch.
I'm 26 and I was crying like a little kid. This was extremely emotional for me, because, it's shows how Mando truly loves Grogu as his own baby. He protected him like no one ever did, but he is willing to let him go when he needs to.
He never expected nothing in return, not even Grogu's ever lasting companionship. He adopted him because that was the "way", he let him go because he loved him.
Im 37 and I cried too. I DO hope they see each other again..but star wars goodbyes tend to be forever.
@@MrEricReis Although it sounds sad, you are totally right! And it will have more symbolism if they don't see each other again.
A deeper life lesson for the audience. Thank for your reply! that was really interesting .
I'm glad I'm not the only grown man that cried
Same dude lol
Real men cry.
Jon, millions of voices will cry out in terror if din and grogu part ways.
Jon: throw in R2, that will make it easier for them
How they can laugh in amid of crying when r2d2 apear
It was to soon
And what happened then? Well, on the internet they say that millions of Star Wars fans shed many tears that day.
Not tears of sadness but of happiness and joy
@@zachisenbletter1133 indeed
No, I was sad. Didn't want him to go.
I bawled my eyes out at this scene.
Could you imagine being one of the storm troopers on the floor dead acting and not crying during this scene 😩
R2 D2 save the day as usual. Pedro Pascal is an amazing actor, his voice is so touching.
I cried watching the scene with my boyfriend, my mother, my father and every time I rewatch that scene. It’s the music for me 😭
Imagine if this had been in theaters
Now this is Star Wars, the journey, the bond between baby yoda and mando the surprise cameo with Luke and the very emotional goodbye between two dear friends made this season the one of the best Star Wars ever. This episode was far superior to the entire sequel trilogy.
This reminds me of when Darth Vader took his own mask off, to say goodbye to Luke. Mando must think of Grogu as his own child.
Grogu is happy where he is going. You see him smile when the elevator closes. God I cried for long minutes
By far the best moment in TV HISTORY
The music cue that hits almost right before Like says "May the force be with you" really hit me hard son...
The soundtrack is "Open the Door"
Not gonna lie. I wish Mando told Luke that Grogu's favourite food is frogs.
Knowing that lots of Star Wars fans felt this. It makes me feel better about the future of Star Wars.
This
Is
The
Way
I cried so hard at this scene!!!!
I really didn't think I was going to but I sobbed
This scene got me and made me tear up and that is REALLY hard to do to me.
The music really did hit me like a truck because it was like the end of the fun we all had.
As a parent, this broke my damn heart.
Yes I cried and you're damn right I'm not ashamed of it.
i was literally sobbing in this scene
Big boys do cry!
For Luke-fucking-Skywalker!
😭😭💔I hope Grogu and Djarin will reunite again💔😭😭
Same
Same
Grogu will be like an elementary padawan while mando is already on deathbed.
I really hope so.
Same
I cry watching that scene EVERY TIME.
Grogu's theme music is perfect.
I'm 33 and choked up a little at this scene...EPIC!
The Music, Mando and Grogu, Luke and R2D2 EVERYTHING IS AMAZING!
I was crying when I watched this scene and when they were walking away my brother said “Too bad he never gave me the ball back” I couldn’t hold the tears anymore T-T
I didn’t exactly cry, but I felt it, I felt a knot in my throat. You can hear the heart break in Dins voice when he says, “he’s one of your kind.”
Everything was fine, until Grogu's theme played. Then, 😢😭. Beautiful moment.
Man this definitely did it for me too....such a beautiful scene altogether. Solid 10/10 moment.
Ya’ll are not human.I was bawling for like 15 minutes straight after this I can’t LMAAO
Pedro is one good looking guy. And I have no shame in admitting that lol
Love seeing this, movies, tv shows, books etc, it's supposed to make you have feelings one way or another. It's a way to deal with life, by being invested in stories that hit our emotions, video's like this got me watching the Mandalorian
I will never not cry at this scene
I really love how this generation of young men support one another to express their emotions in this episode ❤😊
i was SOBBING
they better bring din his son back in season 3
It hit me f@$king hard by that sweet ending and farewell.
After terminator 2, this is the closest scene a man can shed some tears.
Agreed, but I'd add one more, Arthur Morgan dieing scene facing the sunset
Where grown men shed tears. No shame in that.
May The Force be with Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau
Goodbyes really hit people hard
I am going to miss grogu in the mandolorian
Enough to make a 17 year old girl cry god damn
Also made an 18 year old boy cry
@@mrmaclovin255 yay let’s cry together
Re watching The Mandalorian S2 Finale, I cannot help but think how will Disney top that?! S3 needs to be the most epic season of TV ever produced.
Who else cried during this scene? 😭
Tantas culturas, idiomas, edades distintas y sentimos lo mismo.
Lo más básico de nuestra existencia, las relaciones humanas, lazos familiares o hacer parte de tu familia, parte de tu vida a un ser lindo para que luego te lo arrebaten...
In case anyone doesn't know, the music soundtrack for this scene is "Open the Door"
And just like that, Star Wars won the fans back. This FELT like Star Wars, something the new trilogy couldn’t do even with all the fan service.
Basically everyone in this video
Grogu saying goodbye to Mando
*SAD NOISES*
R2 appears
*SAD HAPPY NOISES*
Mando was his night in shining armor
Glad to know I wasn't the only one who cried
Aight. Retcon the sequels. I swear if grogu died during Kylo’s betrayal...
He's got a good 19 years before that happens for him to learn everything and leave
@@mrmaclovin255 I hope so
@@clb6675 Well, Din said that they’d see each other again. I doubt he meant he’d just come by and visit Grogu at Luke’s temple and eat some tacos. Once Grogu is ready and has control of his abilities, he will probably come back to Din.
How powerful would it have been had he waited to remove his helmet until this scene?
17:59 x2
😭💔
Teaaarrsss!!😭😭
Oh fcking hell, i cried like a little baby!!! Damn, Now this is why i love The Mandalorian, this is real StarWars, not that sequel crap --->(episodes 7,8,9), this is real stuff!!!
It makes me cry everytime and I don’t like it
I don't "wike" it
good bye Grogu i Will be happy if you come back to mando GOOD D; YOU ARE SO COOL D;
So you know Luke had a temple for training Jedis but Ben solo burned it down so
19 Years later. Yea. If the mandalorian takes place 5 years after ROTJ, then Ben is 4 years old. He doesn't destroy the temple til he's 23. As advanced with the force skills as Grogu already is, being a 50 yr old baby, I think in 19 years he would probably left the Academy before Ben became Kylo.
@@teresagibson4946 plus, it was already confirmed in the Kylo Ren comics (which are considered canon) that Ben Solo was Luke's first student. I believe Favreau said he doesn't want to mess with the canon and the sequel trilogy, so from that point of view it wouldn't make sense that Luke takes Grogu as his student. Maybe Luke came to the same conclusion as Asohka, and realized that Grogu's attachment to Din is too strong. Or maybe Grogu just flat out rejected/abandoned the training after a while, because he feels a stronger bond towards Din and the Mandalorians. However, if that happens, this whole season finale would become way less monumental...
I might just be clutching at straws here, but I simply want to see Grogu and Din together again.
@@markpons3083 They would never do that, thats beyond ret@ rded. And it makes no sense, what it REALLY is is disney ignoring the sequel trilogy now, it's really the black sheep of the star wars franchise now with mandalorian and other star wars media on disney + being made more like how the franchise use to be. And they will make movies connected to the show to essentially have a restart at it
STFU. ST is not canon. Forget about those.
@@StoogesTheTwo thank you for your opinion. Next time, try giving it without calling someone else's thoughts retarded. We're all just speculating here.. *insert "YOU DON'T HAVE THE ANSWERS SWAY" meme*
Lot of tears, and it's OK
I watched this on my lunch break and cried in my car smh
This is Star Wars.
I would have preferred that the first time the audience saw Din Djarin's face was when Grogu saw his face for the first time.
Sacan el vídeo del capitulo a cada rato lpm
Grandpa Greef is gonna be pissed
IDGAF this series is the true sequel stories after Episode 6. ST doesn't exist.
I'm calling it. It's over no more mando
How does the mandalorian shave?
This is Starwars
6:43 Which channel is this?
I was right about the series. It is before Kylo Ren
Sameee
The fuck? That was never in question, everyone already knew that
19 years before Kylo.
Ben was 4yrs old in the timeline of Mando and Grogu.
No shit
Bruhhhh.
Not if kylo-ren has anything to say about it lol
Everyone does realize this might mean he dies cause all of Lukes students were killed by his crazy nephew right ?
If he survives chad anakin and order 66, he can survive virgin kylo
@@mr.purple497 no doubt 👍.
Que the ugly cry.😭
This series is what disney and George lucas should it be done it well long time ago in a Galaxy far far away.
